Should I first place the palm of my hand on my chest, then rotate my body and strike with my elbow, or should I rotate my body, and while rotating, place the palm of my hand on my chest and strike with my elbow?

Dude, thank you for this video. I’ve been doing Muay Thai for a little under 3 months now, and noticed that some movements were really mean on my hips. Needed some good stretches to help me out.

I’ve been doing 100 punches with 5 pound dumbbells breaking it down in 5 sets of 20 after 20 pushups, with different combinations for each set 20 (jab/cross),(jab/cross southpaw), Hooks, uppercuts etc.. and I feel like it feels light, my idea was to help with defense in keeping your hands up and just adding to a morning routine when I’m not doing kettle bell swings. Thanks for the video though what you are saying makes sense!

Its just funny that ppl dont feel that shadow boxing with weights make you faster, and i say this because doing just that has made my punches faster. It doesnt even make sense in my opinion to say that shadowbxing with weights doesnt make you punch faster. Its almosy equivalent to saying that jumping with a weighted vest doesnt add vert to your jumping when u take it off when it clearly does.

Should’ve been 1 regular low kick 2 Dutch low kick (sitting down on your kick and going through) 3 kyokushin low kick (kicking more higher on the shin and smothering your opponent) 4 snappy low kick (more aimed towards the outside calf and inside thigh area)

So my Kru told me that the teep should be more like a jab and that I shouldn’t step into it to create power more so I should just bring my knee up and extend out with the knuckles of my foot to the soft tissue. It’s more natural for me to step but I definitely land more using the spear technique he suggests.

Love low kicks with the rear leg, but sadly as a southpaw, it’s not as effective. If you kick their front leg, your foot could get caught up by their rear leg, and if you kick their rear leg, you have to get closer than usual.
