I don't have the same tail fin as you, it comes straight out instead of angling up, so as soon as I start trying to take off it hits the ground and the plane explodes

3:15 You can use the acronym “MILF”. The farther an aircrafts CG is from the Center of lift it will become: -More stable(hard to stall) -Increased stall speed -Lower Cruising speed -Favorable stall recovery. When the CG is closer to the Center of lift it is the opposite MILF, it will be more stable in the sense that it will fly straight and level on its own and also be more responsive to control surface movements

Dont forget to do the gravity turn. Yes you can go up high as hell and burn prograde near apoapsis to mold your orbit but it will use a lot of m/s more. Not only it os innefective it is also a lot harder to time it properly due to ascend and descend velocities being that high, so you might need another engine to burn enough time before you start descending too fast. You should aim for a 10° eastwards tilt at around 60-100 m/s and target prograde from there. It should keep tilting east by itself but you may need to slow down its rotation or start rotating later depending on your boosters and drag. You shouls aim for a 45° at around 12km up in the atmosphere, that should give you a nice curve that will get your apoapsis in whatever low orbit range you need and with a lot of time and a nice sub orbit arc that will not need too much fuel to circularize. Some tips you might already know is: If your eastwards gravity turn is too messy you might wanna put fins at the bottom in either X or two fins on each side perpendicular to the heading so you can still tilt east. You might also want to take a look at your rockets and see if they are flailing and put some structs to stick them

I haven't played in years and recently reinstalled. I forgot so much. I had built almost this exact same aircraft, but I'm here because I forgot how to attach the engines. Watching you built it I realized I'd also forgotten how to rotate parts by keyboard. And how to set the brakes.

How do I attach the elevon on the wing? It seems impossible, even when I try from all angles.

Good plane, 1 small issue. After i click W to go up the plane goes right and losts 1 wing and then crushes everything.

I finally achieved orbit but had very very little fuel left. When I tried to return to the surface, I didn’t have enough to escape orbit and now poor Jebidiah is stuck orbiting Kerbin until I figure out how to retrieve him.
