How to make your low-tech VERY 1ST KSP PLANE tutorial!

There is one fatal flaw with the plane: the hatch is obstructed.

By moving the wings a bit in the hangar you can un-obstruct it. Just make sure the Center of lift and mass are as shown in the video. :)

3:15 You can use the acronym “MILF”. The farther an aircrafts CG is from the Center of lift it will become: -More stable(hard to stall) -Increased stall speed -Lower Cruising speed -Favorable stall recovery. When the CG is closer to the Center of lift it is the opposite MILF, it will be more stable in the sense that it will fly straight and level on its own and also be more responsive to control surface movements

Literally built the same plane but mine wobbles at 60m/s and crashes before lift off.

I haven't played in years and recently reinstalled. I forgot so much. I had built almost this exact same aircraft, but I'm here because I forgot how to attach the engines. Watching you built it I realized I'd also forgotten how to rotate parts by keyboard. And how to set the brakes.

Its possible but you will have to adjust the wings for the change in center of mass.

I don't have the same tail fin as you, it comes straight out instead of angling up, so as soon as I start trying to take off it hits the ground and the plane explodes

Check that nothing is behind the engines, I had this same issue when my vertical stabilizer was behind an engine. For some reason, jet engines just stop producing any thrust when a wing is behind it. Also make sure to push your throttle foward

Thanks for the tutorial. I'm having trouble with the key configuration. Right now e and q control my wing, so if I want to turn I have to press one of those but the plane won't move effectively (I haven't tested this plane yet, I'm talking about my own), I actually have to use the rudder. Any ideas?

it could probably help u to disable all the other movements in your control surfaces, only leave one active in each kind

Make sure everything is aligned evenly and it may also help to disable come control surface settings like yaw on the ailerons

Try attaching the main gear to the wings for a wider more stable wheelbase

check your center of mass and center of lift. make sure the center of lift is behind center of mass

Bottom of the screen there is a mirror mode that will let you add 2 wings

Make sure you use mirrored mode and in the hangar :) Hope this helps!
