To be honest, even with the jokes and gags, I skipped the last couple videos because you were just playing games you knew you wouldn't like because they were bad. Or just various updates on Helldivers. It would be nice to get some more shoutouts for games you do like, especially more obscure ones like Ultrakill.

After finishing the game, I'm gonna have to disagree with this one. The game does some small things better than Souls, but it falls short on many key areas, main culprits being level design/exploration and lore/story/localization. Most of the time the levels felt like mindless filler meant only to pad out the time in-between bosses. It's literally just you running through hallways filled with the same easily disposable enemy types while occasionally unlocking a rather pointless shortcut. The game is really predictable with the traps it sets and I felt like I had seen it all before. Only a handful of encounters stood out to me after my playthrough, which is in stark contrast to From’s games where I could probably still draw a pretty accurate map of Yharnam and recall most of the encounters in it. Exploration in the levels also felt dull, unrewarding and non-existent for the most part. I'd wager that like 95% of the stuff you'll find are either souls, upgrade materials (that I stopped needing like 15 hours before the game ended) or summoning items. Weapons are few and far between and Quartz is basically just a worse version of actually finding an estus flask shard or a ring or some such. Actually the whole P-Organ system feels incredibly contrived. Adding small invisible bonuses to different mechanics and locking health upgrades etc. to a skill tree, rather than having them as actual treasures in the game, felt like a strange choice. I liked the simpler story structure of the game but the execution and general tone felt amateurish, probably mostly thanks to poor localization. Gemini was insufferable with his constant marvel-humor quips and the way he talked didn't fit the game's time period at all. Same goes for most of the notes you find in the game. For example, it completely took me out of the game when I saw that the Archbishop had written “those guys” in his diary or when the rabbit gang talked about “being bros” etc. The game desperately needed a high quality localization effort like in Bloodborne cause hearing modern lingo in a late 19th century setting just felt wrong and cringy. Overall I did end up liking the game despite its faults, but it didn’t reach the likes of Souls or Nioh for me, too much of it felt over or under designed. That said, I’m looking forward to the upcoming dlc and this studio’s next game, hopefully they’ll learn from this one’s shortcomings and deliver something truly great.

Some classic game reviews would be cool. 2000 to 2010 sort of time.

Luke Amazing Video

I first saw you through the Starfield review, and I thought it was very well written, and the musical number was great. I like that the humor is silly, but not obnoxious or dumb.

Games often change the models face because they have a specific design or vision. It's not like with Death Stranding where playing as Norman Reedus was a big draw. A good example is imagine if they had Lady Gaga model for Vess without changing her face. I wouldn't feel like Vess is her own character, I'd feel like I was playing as lady gaga. Possibly an immersion thing. Either way I think Vess looks fine and not every female character needs to be smoking hot.

I like your reviews as they are done well, humorous, and you don't have to rely on the "Anti-SJW" persona a lot of game bro hacks use in their videos. The only issue I find is that you often call good games bad which doesn't sit well with me. Not specifically this game as I haven't played it, but I recall you shutting down Far Cry 6 which I thought was great (except the lousy DLC and Stanger Things event), of Fallout 76 which was bad upon launch, but is now pretty good. The worst offender is Cyberpunk 2077 which was a fantastic game after the bugs were fixed. Obviously everyone has their own opinions, but it seems a lot of what makes or breaks a game for you is if it's open world. I see you even made a video about how open world games suck so I feel like your reviews are often biased. On the flip side you'll praise games like Lies of P which has one of the worst parrys in any souls game. It was so bad that I almost gave up on that game entirely. Sekiro and Stellar Blade have wonderful parrys. I hit the button and the parry actually works. With Lies of P's it's unreliable even after adapting to its crap factor. I agree with a lot of your reviews but just wanted to add my 2 cents.

Veilguard and Dustborn

I actually had a lot of fun with this game, however the more I played it the more I wanted it to be over. It just drags on and the side quests are often tedious instead of fun. Still the game isn't as bad as people claim it is. That includes you. I never felt the blaster was underpowered because I actually upgraded mine. The stealth was fine so I do t know why you had trouble with it. But when it comes to those speeder bike chases I'm in full agreement. They sucked. As for the Jank I didn't run into that many, but I was playing on the PS5 so it was probably a PC related issue

I'd love to see you play some older games from time to time. Maybe notable games in history or just games you love. Also, as an Overlord fan, I want to see you do a review of Sacred Kingdom movie that came out in November. Genuinely wish I could've started the series there. Only time I'd say an anime movie could make a great jumping off point for the series.

If I were to improve the stealth takedown mechanic, I'd follow Deus Ex's (mainly HR and MD) example and provide Kay with Lethal and Non-Lethal options such as a Vibro-Knife, Poison Sabre Dart, Stun Baton etc.

Seems like there should be limitations regarding what can be parried. You can't tell me you can avoid being crushed by that @8:33 simply by parrying it
