Great review. I play a lot of different genres and it’s impossible to find a good comparison between these two specific heads. Thanks for not just chugging and for playing in standard tuning. Tens of videos showcasing metal, very few showing the other aspects of the amp.
@damonthegnomeoftonechivers19 күн бұрын
Hi mate. Thanks for the nice feedback. These are sooooo much more than just a chuggy noise machine. The clean is really good, and I even used one on a function gig with a 1x10” Jenson cab. The green channel is actually excellent.

Can it do it? Appears the answer is no. Nothing you played has the warm tone that I seek. I so regret buying this amp. It weighs a ton and is horrible at clean rhythm tones. It simply can't do them. I should have bought a Blackstar. It can do both very well.

I bought a used SL2Q MAH Pro (Indo) earlier this year. Got it because i was missing the Charvel 650xl that I'd bought back in 1989, which I eventually sold (and regretted) around 7 years ago. The SL2 is a great guitar. So far I really can't find fault with anything, other than maybe a tiny bit of fret sprout, or not perfectly finished fret ends. Not a biggie, and something I can easily remedy myself if I feel the need to.

Nice playing. Just gave you a sub. Do you still have these guitars? I'm thinking of buying one of them, but can't decide which one. Which one do you like more?
@damonthegnomeoftonechiversАй бұрын
Depends on how much versatility you need? The single pickup works great if you are just doing classic rock/country/metal, but the neck pickup gives you more versatility, and the p90’s are better for funk/blues etc. both great guitars though. Worth having the Esquire just to keep it tuned to open G !!
