He is genius no doubt. But he is dreaming. People punch each other over a parking space. And mr Jacque wants to eliminate politicians, military, MONEY, borders. And heavy industries. Well. dream on.

How can anyone think that social capitalism would be anything like communist socialism? A purely philosophical point of view is the only way to make any reasonable sense of things. Where you're talking science, you have to refer to the philosophical basis from which to proceed. This is why physics has always been down a rabbit hole (shut up and do the math). It's only reasonable to assume the ether and that balance is key to all things. "... because the economic paradigm will not allow it." That sums up the whole problem - money. Until we can cause money to become irrelevant, as in social capitalism... How? This is how - put us in charge of us. Fix the system to serve the people instead of money. Together, we can do it all. The solution is to let go of our own situation and see the bigger picture. Simple life is better life. We change or we die. Oh well, it's only life. This is the built in way we get over ourselves... the way we ALLOW what we want to become. Interesting times. Epic interview.

Damn, I still wish Jacque was alive. I would go there right now and help him with his project. Why are none of us making or creating our own refuge, utopian and/or homesteads for ourselves? Why?...Fear, control and comparison. We do not have to keep living this way! We need way more of these kinds of alternatives and inspiration. I know he can't hear me, but thank you Jacque. You left an impact on my life like no other.

When ever a person can do their own thing in their own time and be successful, it helps all of us who spend a lifetime supporting their family doing something that is unrewarding. I love the way he pissed off all the superstitious nuts with the Jesus sun god thing. He’s done something people will be talking about as long as people talking. How many of us can do that? I think that’s cool. Anything that makes people think is good. Most get their opinions from others. That’s the biggest problem the world has today. People not thinking critically about things , just letting people tell them what to believe and not questioning why.

Who is in charge of the cities? How do they get to that point? Is everyone taught in the education centers how to maintenance any parts that malfunction? What if someone chooses to opt out of these cities, can they go out into the wood and live on their own, or are the mandated to stay in the cities, and if so who has the authority to make that mandate? Legitimately asking.

I would suggest everyone to learn through the videos available on KZbin about The Venus Project and resource based economies. Do it with as much of an open mind as you can. Then apply watch you learn to problems of your daily life to find possible solutions. You will quickly realise that tvp solves many, almost all, of our current problems. Read the books as well. I have only recently read Looking Forward, and it provides you with a sample of the life of this possible future. Hopefully after this you get a really good perspective on our world and it's people and help change it !
