Just seen this magnificent series, it’s named the “ The Shift” in the English. I have to say that Sofie is a standout actor in this series, in fact in any series/ film she graces her skills in.. ❤ Sofie. Such an inspiring actor.

The movie is brilliant! it really depicts real life not only in Egypt but how power politics play out.

Depicts life in Egypt (but filmed in Turkiye). He demonizes life in Egypt and misses an opportunity to tell the world about the daily humiliations that come with being a non-white person in Sweden. The film focuses on Al-Azhar without a scant hint at the source of Egypt's oppressive regime funded by $3.2 billion of American aid (mostly in the form of super-inflated interest bearing loans and military hardware). Saleh should follow the old proverb: "clea up your own backyard before pointing fingers at your neighbor's backyard." Islam, Al-Azhar and Egyptian society are not the problem. What is the problem is that the opportunity to address the fact that an oppressive regime in Egypt (which frequently resorts to torture and murder) is largely funded by US/EU backers who have full knowledge the oppressive regime in power. Interview after interview, Saleh does nothing to address the islamophobic government and society in Sweden that frequently resorts to violence against Swedish female citizens who are Muslim. Saleh isn't creating art, he's just the latest sell-out willing to feed the islamophobic media for a few bucks.

I appreciate the fake trolling Comments here of how "great" this film is...until pat comerford shows up to laty down some truth per the film review in The Guardian. Namely, that this film sucks. Meanwhile, on an extremely serious note, model/actress Charlbi Dean died in Manhattan on August 29, 2022 at age 32. This is from The New York Times, August 31st: Charlbi Dean, an actress and model who plays a lead role in the film satire “Triangle of Sadness,” which won the top award at the Cannes Film Festival this year and will be released in the fall, died on Monday in Manhattan. She was 32. The death, in a hospital, was confirmed by a representative from her publicity agency. The cause was not given. ...The New York Times critic Manohla Dargis wrote that the film was a “blunt, ugly sendup of class politics” that “sharply divided critics.”
