Totally awesome to give a child something beyond their wildest dreams. They can truly say "I Am" somebody.

Great memories. I raced a Lancer in A-Mod light as a kid throughout the southeast, mostly Florida, in the sixties and early 70's. Won the Florida IKF State Championship and Southeast Territorial Championships, respectfully in 1968/69. My Dad was owner/operator of the largest kart shop in Florida back in the day, Wyatt Enterprises. Sold Dart (Rupp) karts, Bug and Go Kart karts,

I’m very happy to see some any sort of new content from you, I’ve been worried that the plandemic got you. Thanks for sharing some new content.
100% GREAT JOB by that pilot. I hated seeing him have to make that belly landing. He saved the airplane and is 100% healthy. That makes this a happy sad moment. Happy because he saved his irreplaceable plane! Sad to have even a scratch on his LOVED plane!!!

If you look up Jeff Pino, Big Beautiful Doll, you’ll see that a few years back sadly he crashed this same plane along with a passenger and both perished. Plane was completely destroyed as well. RIP Jiff and Nick.

I have been flying around the KS, MO, OK area this entire tornado season at low level for work and have seen some of the coolest stuff!! I have even been without a couple miles of no less than 5 tornadoes this season alone. It’s been wild! Seeing weather from the air is something else.

I was out on the flight line one day when a LOACH pilot waved over. It was a bit gusty and he was sitting there skid lite. Had to get close to hear him as I did not have my flight helmet. Being light like he was a gust caused a skid to lift a couple of inches and then it landed on my toes. At least he bought me a drink later after his mission. I surely did love those little birds.

I’m confused big beautiful doll crashed at an airshow in 2011 and this video was posted 10 years or less after, is this another P-51D painted with the big beautiful doll livery or was this video taken before the collision in 2011?
@javeryfamilymemories293720 күн бұрын
That was a different one painted the same. This one also sadly crashed. If you look up Jeff Pino, Big Beautiful Doll, you’ll see that a few years back sadly he crashed this same plane along with a passenger and both perished. Plane was completely destroyed as well. RIP Jiff and Nick.

I guess I'm a little disappointed that he did not choose to land on some soft dirt. There appeared to be lots dirt plenty long for that. He did a good job of keeping it straight. Again, I would have pulled the mixture back once I heard the gear doors scraping and stopped the prop rotation and saved the engine.

I am so glad that people saved these old karts. Scrappers take everything these days.

Please don't add fake sounds to videos like this. It just makes them worse. The repeated "metal crunching" sound that plays when the plane lands detracts from the quality of the video.

Sadly big beautiful doll ended up crashing after being clipped by a skyraider at a display.

+@FunnyMableCaves-ko9et Different Mustang also painted as Big Beautiful Doll. Owner Jeff Pino got this Big Beautiful Doll repaired and flying again, but was killed along with a passenger very shortly afterward when he lost control. The wreckage of Jeff's plane is now in CA for rebuild again. And...another flying P-51 in Europe just left the paint shop painted as another Big Beautiful Doll.

Incidentally, i think i read somewhere that the P-51 was the first fighter with enough range to escort bombers all the way to Berlin and back, which raises the question- why weren't other fighters like the Spitfire and P-47s fitted with long range drop tanks so they could escort the bombers too?
