Fun video. I worked on the Reagan Star Wars project at the White Sands Missile Range back in the eighties. The final weapon was able to destroy an incoming ICBM while still up in space, using s special wavelength laser. That original technology is being used today in the devices you have showcased. Notwithstanding, military secrets are the most fleeting of all. For every new capability, a countermeasure will evolve. One day wars will be fought using technology alone.

Most of the weapons are multi purpose....Maybe the nukes missile sub can be modify to carry MOAB or 2000 lb or 1000 lb bombs. Just saying since Russia use ballistic missile on Ukraine and China has bunch of knock ballistic missile...same goes for Iran and etc... PS...got to save money somewhere.

The natural environment for rail guns is in space, both for attacking other space ships, orbital installations, and planetary bombardment. Yes, we have a ways to go before they are needed but maintaining a small R&D effort for future weapons development isn't a bad idea at all.

Cause it's obsolete, already been replaced, we are 3-5 weapon generations past the rail gun, and many of these top secret "futuristic" UNKNOWN weapons are already in service, and have been for several years. You really think north Korea missile tests that "could reach mainland USA" somehow just "fell" out of the sky after a short flight? No, they were shot down.
