hi i am getting a error when exsportitng my mod it says No Game Objects to export because: 1. Selection export is used and none of selected objects belongs to any SCS Game Object or 2. all of the SCS Root Objects were manually exluded from export or 3. there is no SCS Root Objects in the scene.

I haven't done hookup slot tutorials in 2 years. I think the only way you can do that without a model is to make the node in Blender. What accessory are you making that has no model? I'm confused

@@tristanmartin4560 as far as I know you have to import the bumper. Just copy and paste the locator nodes and rename them. I did that on the 1632NG and the International LT addons mod.

If it expands the existing ETS2 map, I don't think you do because it's already defined. Standalone maps I think you do need to define everything.

You may be able to do it in Zmodeler but that isn't free. I haven't been around for a couple years I'm just getting back on my feet. Blender is free though and this is one of the more simple tutorials.

I don't think anything changed regarding signs since 1.40 onwards. Double check where you are saving the definitions and templates. Arayas had a video on this as well.

@unstoppable2180 I hate when that happens lol. If you click on a sign node properties it should have a drop down. AFAIK the ones you make are at the bottom. Check the sign def files in your folder to find how you named it.

Whenever I try to click on materials or any kind of options for dropdown. My editor shows not responding for some time and then loads back in. This wastes my time waiting for the dropdown to load. Any fix for this?

Hello Sir, do you have any idea about how to change the in-game name of the accessory locator? Like in your case it came as cube in-game as it's named like that in truck base , but is there any way to somehow show it as different name like "Front Cube" (for example) in-game

It's been a long time since I've modded. In the Definition file for the accessory at the top it should say something similar to: "bumper.cube.pete389" It's separated by full stops.

@LynxModding yes. The locator name you specify in Blender is how the upgrade on the truck will be named when selecting different parts.

I did it exactly according to this video. In the final zip, the automaton folder is missing and in the model folder is missing cube.pmd and cube.pmg. If I click on dif in SCS Material in blender, the entire model turns black and it cannot be changed in any way (except through nodes).

every time I place the textures and export the message "Texture file" from material 'mat_0001 plastic leather doesn't exist inside current Project Base Path. TOBJ won't be exported and reference will remain empty, expect problems" the textures turn pink

It's been a long time since I modded. A lot has happened. In Blender when you set up paths for your project folder make sure they're accurate. They need to be at the folder level that your truck is at. Also check your material textures drop down option i think it had to be a tobj file then click the cog/wheel icon and it should change into a tobj and give the correct texture.

@@DigitalXUK The texture paths are all correct, the textures are in the correct sizes, they are all in tga, the tobj is also correct, but every time I export it, I get this error, I don't understand why I'm doing it the same way all the videos teach, but theirs never give errors.

@lucasgtv I should be back online properly soon and I'll make a tutorial on this. As long as the texture exists in the base path it should be OK. Do any of the directories regarding materials have a red colour on them? That indicates an error. I had that problem myself so ill have to relearn how to do all this. Shouldn't be too bad though.
