The real equator line is across top of Catequilla hill, just minutes away. Ancient indigenous people know it by observing there is no shadow at noon, centuries before french scientists came here. In fact, Catequilla hill is a sacred mountain, and there is a prehispanic stone mark on the top, and you get the 0.0.0 at GPS!

Hi! I booked through Get Your Guide and it included the bamboo rafting followed by a hike to a waterfall where simple lunch was provided and (hiking forward) to the elephant sanctuary and then return to Chiang Mai. Including the transportation time it was pretty much an all-day experience.

I guess the nice appearances that this city puts out for tourists are working! I’m not going to say it’s an awful city to live in, but we moved in a town next to it and we can enjoy the city more now, that we are rarely visiting it. The historical areas of Timișoara are much more spread than the city center that you presented here. The restoration processes of the city take very long and they make the citizens feel like the city is permanently a construction zone. Also, if you go away from the “beautiful” center (15min of walking is enough) you will start seeing the true face of the city, not that clean, not that taken cared of and the city hall is demanding people to restore their homes in particular ways, which are much pricier because they have to look a certain way, being in historical areas, without really helping in any way (not even with the paper work needed to legally restore what can be seen from the street). Regarding the vaporetos, they are nice when you’ve got visitors, but there’s rarely anything on their route to be useful as a daily transportation method and they are also really slow. Good thing is that on their route weekends, they are free, although they don’t travel as far as they do during the week. Anyway, you made a nice video and I’m glad you enjoyed this city and our country!

Arequipa is a beautiful city and with 2000 Dollars a month you can live very well here, it is a city with good climate, quiet with good hospitals, which are private, I recommend that if you can invest and buy your own house or an apartment it would be better, and I recommend you learn Spanish, because many people speak English or other languages here, but it's only young people, people in general only speak Spanish, so I recommend you take a trip through Peru and come to Arequipa in winter to see if you like it, at night there are no temperatures below zero, but above 8°C when it's cold, normally it's 15°C at night and during the day until 3pm it's 24°C, in summer it rains a lot but the sun always comes out almost daily, we have in this city an average of 330 days of sunshine a year a spring city, and when there are hot days they do not exceed 28°C, Greetings from Arequipa.

Actually, no Romanian calls Vlad the Impaler "Dracula". The name Țepeș is actually derived from the word "țeapă" - spike, due to his penchant to skewer wrongdoers - literally. If he was alive today and he ran for President, the whole country would vote for him.

Very good presentation, Thank you! About King Michael Park, you picked one of 2 almost untouched and ugliest parks in the city. This one and Cismigiu park are historic monuments and if you want to paint a bench for example, you have to do a lot of studies and papers in order to change something. So this one is mostly preserved (almost abandoned) as in communist era. There are a lot of parks much spectacular and beautiful in Bucharest: Titan Park, Drumul Taberei Park, Tineretului, Oraselul Copiilor (Children's Town), Circus Park etc. Also Don't forget Vacaresti Delta, a natural reservation for rare bird species with lush swamps, appeared spontaneously in a big old water reservoir.

Love this video so much. The car industry really has taken over the city and the country for that matter, but there is a large fight against it, and the current government is very pro good urbanist choices, both for the city and the entire country. I love how big and dense and beautiful but edgy bucharest is, it is very much like paris, but very much its own thing and therefore very different, same goes for its similarity to berlin. Im glad you spoke on the parking in the revolution square area. It is truly saddeing to see how much car parking and cars in general have taken over, but people are fighting back. Know what I do? Every car parked on the sidewalk gets a BIG scratch on the side of their car. Oops, shouldnt have been on the sidewalk i guess 😅

A nice video and very informative! Under the St. Sofia chirch there is a very interesting museum of catacombs (in situ, the nicropolis of Serdica with an older and smaller chirch, above which was build that big one). I recommend also the Archeological museum on the front of the president building, direct placed on the one side of the national bank. The St. Georg rotonda circh in the inner courtyard of the president building have to be seen too, at least from outside. Best!
