If you Williams fans find this score to indelible, listen to Williams' score for Black Sunday.

Love how Patrick Bateman's dance steps are a quarter beat off like he's forced to be in a musical. Totally sarcastic, totally in character.

This guy is handsome and charming. But I would picture Patrick Bateman using a more rocky voice as in for example, the Rocky Horror Picture Show songs. The songs dont manage to convince me yet. I need more ROCK more HORROR. More Sweeney Todd style songs

Jaws made the entire world scared to go swimming in the ocean! I remember being scared to go back to swimming after seeing it. We lived 4 blocks from the pacific ocean and l loved to swim . Took awhile to start swimming again.

43:09 funny, he doesn’t use it in his work much… I’d say that’s the one thing I find missing in Sondheim… vulgarity 😊

One thing modern movies lack of, a good score. Now it’s just some hip hop song or some poppy garbage.

Well, Spielberg didnt have the sane insights about instrumentation as Williams... Knowing how to flesh out the orchestral voicing is something that Williams is one of best at! I'm so sorry to hear he's cut back on filmwork but the man is 90 years old. I'd best be grateful instead. He and Herrmann are my overall favorites

Don't think I've heard a song so benign and stereotypical as this. Wow a fucking child singing about when they grow up how they will have a bit more individually and freedom - fucking most unoriginal shite I've ever heard.

I'm 53. I have a friend, who's Father bought the soundtrack on vinyl. He would have some buddies over for beers. They would tie one on, and then he would put this record on. It scared my buddy so bad, he would jump on top of the dining room table and scream..."turn it off, turn it off!". While sobbing his eyes out. John Williams was a genius.

As Rick Beato put it, John Williams is the greatest artist of all time. Not because his songs hit the top charts, or have 2 billion streams, but because people who have never even seen the movies they’re from can sing the songs note for note. Everyone knows the Jaws theme. Everyone knows the Jurassic Park theme. Everyone knows the Star Wars theme. The most brilliant musician in human history.

The first, quiet part of the theme sounds like the slow and gentle movements of a shark's tale during a hunt, then it gets faster once prey is closer, then the final crescendo is like the thrashing motion of the shark after it bites you. Sometimes simple is genius!
