Saw this in Scranton and it was amazing!!! I couldn't stop dancing and singing along!!! Especially when they came into the audience!!! I was the only who got up and started doing the CONGA!!! The cast members said I was the best audience member they had so far!!!

I saw the original version of On Your Feet national tour at the Hobby Performing Arts Center in 2016 with Christie Pardes playing the role of Gloria Estefan and I loved it so much back then that I wanted to see it again. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with this 2024 national tour. A lot of changes were made that did not work for me. First and foremost, Gaby Albo did not channel Gloria that well. She did not have the same distinct voice and accent of Gloria Estefan so I could not feel the essence of Gloria Estefan’s persona. Aside from the actor who played Gloria’s mother, the rest of the actors seemed to me like mediocre singers. I did not like the set design. The “video background” seemed cheap. The actor who played young Emilio was an adolescent instead of a child. And they seemed to have added too much dialogue. The sound system was very muddy and poor quality. Much of the dialogue could not be understood. I found the choreography of the original version much better. That is why when TUTS offered $25 dollar ticket to watch the show again, I declined and did not care to be disappointed again.

While you're entitled to your opinion, the production, and certainly the cast has very much been embraced by audiences and critics alike.
