I left a church today after months of seeing some off signs. I knew it was time to leave as I would have caused division if I spoke my mind. The teaching today 'coincidentally' silenced me while people asked me why I was going. The pastor warned that people who criticise the church cause division. Quoting bible verses to say you won't be blessed. God is watching. The Church is watching. There is only ONE leader and he is who you go to to discuss issues with the church, not anyone else. God does not bless people who speak evil. You reap what you sow etc etc....threatening language to the church but I couldn't help but feel this was for me. Elders and false prophets were the worst. As I left I was accused of being a serial church shopper, having childhood issues, not really hearing God when I said He has been telling me for months to pull out of the church to be close to Him. I didn't say anything against the church. I was too happy to be feeling closer to the Lord than I've felt in a long time and am excited to be free.
