Great review. What is the difference between Digital Filter 1 and Digital Filter 2?

I have a pair of SVS Ultra bookshelf speakers driven by a Marantz pm7000n which do very well except for occasional slight tweeter harshness while streaming music on KZbin, which could be somewhat caused by the compressed music. Looking forward to upgrading to the Evolution speakers soon! Great job to Mad Audio with this review! 👍

Hi. I have low-profile speakers I'm using for my hight, front left and right 7.2.4 setups. But they are much quieter than my other speakers. I've already maxed out the volume on my receivers option. Would it be a problem to get an amplifier to power only the much quieter speakers and bring the volume up to match the other speaker?

I think they would look sharper with a dark grey or black grill. If I bought white gloss I would special order a pair of black grills myself. Price wise, size wise they seem well placed versus the competition. Coming from Focal, Dali, Triangle speakers, these speaker's SQ would probably appeal to me from early reviews so far. At 85 dB, they seem to need a bit of power. Would a 40 to 50 watt quality amp drive these without them losing liveliness in the mids and highs and retain a tight and fast bass or in order to get that do you really need power? I had Def Tech SM45s some years ago and on my Hegel h160 it sounded very good but on my smaller amp it lost its liveliness and sounded rather dull and flattened the stage. It really needed alot of current to get going.

Excellent job in coverage! A very good mix of interviews and visual imagery throughout. It's amazing to hear and see the difference in design philosophies from the various manufacturers. As a child of the 1960's I never thought we'd attain this level of technology in audio, and that vinyl and vacuum tubes would have such a resurgence.

EVERY audio channel!!, they buy a SUPER SENSITIVE MIC and then DONT FILTER OUT MOUTH NOISES!!.. i don't want to hear the shmegma smacking inside your mouth... its gross.. stop.. if we are watching an audio channel most of us have very sensitive audio systems. WE HEAR EVERYTHING.

I do not agree.

I'd have the Sonetto 2 (G1) ... however, the SVS EVO tweeter is a nice step up from the previous model. For the price as well, I feel they are a very good value - as most of the time these days .. we can either correct with an EQ .. or Room Correction / DSP. They handle signal really well.

Not a fair assessment of the rotel A11 it’s only 50watts per channel A14mkii would have veiled better results. But I get it if you’re doing it at a price point.

Thanks for a great review. I just wanted to add that my Argon Audio SA2 with Samsung The Frame 2023 starts playing in about 12-13 seconds after HDMI wakeup. My first thougths was that the 30 seconds delay would be a dealbreaker. With half the time and a smart-TV, I often use the same time to choose app and program anyway

What settings dis you use for the denon dl103? I have the gain to -3 but bass is lacking thanks .

Cambridge makes fantastic sounding amps. Even their budget line. I have a cxr200 and it's better than the majority mid tier stand alone amps and far better than any avr should be. Buy a cxr200 used if you want amazing sound. The extra fluff is long in the tooth but will be top choice is sound is your #1 priority. Run it bi amped if your speakers have the capability giving a legit 240 watts per side.

They are all UGLY boxes made of chips...ANY vintage amplifier look and sound WAY better than these crap

Welche Lautsprecher sind besser für Filme? Q Acoustics 5040 oder Polk R 600. Wie schätzt du sie für Filme ein? Ich habe Klipsch und Monitor Audio Bronze getestet. Für Filme verstehe ich warum sie definitiv spaß machen aber leider klingen sie am Marantz cinema 40 zu hell. Jetzt suche ich eine gute Alternative die natürlich klingen aber trotzdem viel spaß bei Filmen machen.

Marantz cd 6 for me. I love cds,& because I spent so little on my speakers, etc, I can afford the Marantz

I agree 100%. If all the streaming crap is what you care about (I use Airplay for everything anyway), well then get the WiiM. But if you care about sound quality, get the M1. I would get the M1 and feed a WiiM mini into it if needed.

The SVS Ultra Evolution bookshelf speaker sounds better than the towers. I was on the fence and steered away from the towers.
