I have used my Heresy IVs with solid state and tube amps. I like them with the tubes better. They are easy to drive, sound good at low volumes and really kick butt when cranked up.

I love my Heresy IV speakers! Use them with an 8 watt tube amp. I also have a 75 watt solid state Marantz. The speaker shows off the difference between amps and both sound great, just different. My wife loves how they look too. I will probably own them forever. Thanks for a great review!

I've had my Heresy IV speakers for about 8 months and really like them. I'm in the market for a better amp than the one I'm currently using (NAD 2200). It's great that you have a few amps that you can compare. I've been thinking of picking up a Mac 1700 receiver that's at my local record store and seeing what that sounds like with the Heresy's. I enjoyed the video. Thank you!

Try listening to Black Ice Audio's integrated amplifiers. You can listen for 45 days. If you don't like it, you can send it back.And they will pay for the shipping both ways and refund all of your money if you're not happy. The problem is they know you're not going to ship it back because you're gonna be extremely happy. They also have the best customer service in the industry.

I owned the Heresy IV for about a year. My wife loved these and was pissed when I sold them 😂. I do miss them. Easy to drive. I used 8wpc 300b integrated amp, Yamaha as2200 and they sounded great. I have a small room and they worked great.

@@MadAudiofficial WAF is real with these. She also loved imaging and soundstage on the Heresy IV. When watching Mad Men (TV series) she noticed how the typewriter sounds were placed in the room like if she was in the office she would look right and left to where the sounds were placed. When watching Midsommar was hooked on the low rumble of the soundtrack….i have JBL L100 classics now. I went through a few bookshelf speakers and KLH Model 5s. Model fives also had the WAF. JBL’s only redeeming quality is the orange foam grills.

@@MadAudiofficial love or hate them. Model 5 were perfect in my small room. Sealed cabinet so no boomy bass. I was able to have them close to the front wall or move them out 18in. I liked imagining and soundstage. They image way better in my room than do the JBL 100 Classics. I upgraded the crossover capacitors to bigger “better” parts and that should have been endgame for me. With Holo audio spring 3KTE the voices sounded like I was in the recording both with my favorite artists. 🧑‍🎨

I'm currently using my Klipsch Heresy IV,s with a Black Ice Audio F-35 Integrated amp. running el34 tubes. They play louder than I can handle. And they have a surprising amount of bass bwcause of the Black Ice Audio amplifier I'm using. I also have a pair of Klipsch RP-600II speakers that are one of my favorite speakers. 7 and a 1/2 feet apart from each other and 12 inches from the wall, And slightly toed in. I sit about 7 feet away, They sound amazing and in some passages of music actually sound better than the Heresy's. Just be patient with Klipsch speakers as I have in my own personal experience found them to take about one thousand hours to fully break in. The heresy 4 is doing an incredible job on the realism of a male voice singing. I also rotate in a set of Tannoy speakers for when I really want to listen to female jazz singers, But that's another story. BTW, nice review.

For the money you absolutely cannot go wrong pairing the Heresy IV's with the Rogue Audio Sphinx V3 Magnum Edition. The punch combined with warmth is for me perfect. If you want an extra cherry on top, add a JL Audio Dominion D110 into the mix.

Try bryston 4b for any klipsch speaker I've tried 84 power amps out Mac's are abit pricy

Thx, they can play really good also at low output, then every now and then it can always happen that you slip on the remote control cranking up the volume involuntarily;)

Eh~ its a Heresy series product I have low expection, its not a modern sound, but i guess thats part of the aesthetics & vibe its trying to give. It measures like something that was considered really high end back in the 80s-90s. Klipsch's higher end conventional RP line for home theater are decent if you pair them w/ subs, but standalone i think their powered line "The Fives/Sevens/Nines" are all better speakers than their more retro line of products. Forte IV also behaves a lot more consistently in response compared to the Heresy IV as well

Is not technically perfect but was both a great experience and funny to listen, reminds me a lot Forte from many aspects in a smaller package👍🏽
