Please give this a read if you get a chance. Here is the Gospel (or, Good News): God says that we are sinners and that no amount of good works or behavioral changes on our part could ever make us holy enough to enter into Heaven. God sent His only begotten Son to be crucified on the cross to pay for our sins. JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS(ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES), HE WAS BURIED, HE ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY(ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES) The instant you believe this, God knows it and He saves you. "31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved"(Acts 16:31A) The free gift (Romans 5:15) is based solely upon your trust in what Jesus did for you, and has absolutely nothing to do with what you do for Him. Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” It is that simple to be saved 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 "15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"(1 co 15:1-4) 0nce you are saved, you will always be saved. (Eph 1:13-14) Today, God is working through the dispensation of Grace; and all manner of practical doctrine for YOU today can be found in Romans-Philemon.

Wrist snap. Im trying to learn enough i can help my daughter with hitting. Lol. I dont know if i need to throw under handed to her for batting practice but figure it will help her more if she can see motions of the pitcher. Does it matter?
@plusultrapitching
@plusultrapitching Ай бұрын
Great question. I’m of the opinion that throwing underhand is preferred so she can practice seeing the release at the hip and recognizing balls vs strikes like she’ll see in games! I hope this helps and thanks for asking! ☺️🥎

Is wrist snap same as peel drop?
@plusultrapitching
@plusultrapitching Ай бұрын
The wrist snap I refer to here is how I teach my students to pitch a fastball. The peel drop has a similar but different release. The peel drop is a breaking pitch that will drop as it crosses the plate, while fastballs generally don’t have intentional movement. I hope this helps answer your question, thanks for asking! ☺️🔥

Do you make shorts or tiktok clips from your long videos? When I post or send longer videos to prep players for what we will be working on they won't watch them. For instance, if you made a 1 min clip of 6:00-7 more kids would be willing to watch. Then with a link,maybe they find their way to the long form. If you started doing this a link to the short from the long would help coaches that follow you create playlists for youth players. Great channel, glad you're growing.

Thanks for this recommendation! I haven’t been doing this but am certainly willing to try! I love your idea of sending a quick 1 minute video to give your players a sneak peek of your sessions. If you have topics you’re working on in the near future, let me know and I can prioritize those concepts! Otherwise stay tuned for some shorts to share with your athletes! 💪🏼 I appreciate your comment thank you! 🤗

How long do we practice before we move to the next drill. I’m trying to teach my 7u
@plusultrapitching
@plusultrapitching Ай бұрын
Good question… once you see your pitcher do it well for at least 5 pitches in a row… do at least another 5-10 to get the reps in! Or you can set a certain amount of time for each drill (5 minutes for drill one, 5 minutes for drill 2, etc.) both approaches are helpful!

Wrist snap. My daughter player modified for the first time this season as a 7th grader and really took to pitching, just with no whip or snap. She found a ton of success simply under handing it. But I’ve been trying to teach her to whip it now she’s gearing for her first travel tryout and I think this video will help amazingly.

Hi Courtney. Very good analysis about pitching speed. I am very satisfied with what you have done with your team. From your analysis I appreciate the notable influence of each of these aspects on the increase in speed, I see it like this: the accumulated energy load in the power position in which the throwing arm is up, discharges on the ball with the greatest efficiency of the rapid lowering of the arm to the point where, thanks to the whiplash that energy, is instantly transferred to the ball by the resistance that the stride leg imposes on that movement, resistance that increases to the extent that stride leg has landed more firmly given its elevation. Now Courtney and other softball lovers, it would be interesting for me to know how the pitch speed influences the pitcher's chances of mastering the hitters, that is to say: how much does throwing faster contribute to the hitter's dominance? Thank you Courtney for all the teaching work you do. It is a very noble work that will always be remembered
@plusultrapitching
@plusultrapitching 2 ай бұрын
Hi Joaquin! Thanks for your comment! To answer your question, pitching speed can keep batters off balance (think of the speed difference between a fastball and changeup) or improve the movement on breaking pitches like curveballs and rise balls to help dominate hitters!

How about girls who have no backswing, do you think adding a backswing will result in an increase in velocity
@plusultrapitching
@plusultrapitching 2 ай бұрын
Hi Brian, good question. In an N=1 experiment with one of my pitchers, the backswing had no effect on speed. With and without the backswing, avg speed was the same and no observed change in accuracy!
