I like to serge the garment and then zig zag stitch it on with my sewing machine. Then turn the elastic so it is enclosed and zig zag it again. I know serging is faster but I am always fearful of serging on elastic.

I had to take a break for my mental health but slowly getting my footing to come back into KZbin world 😉 my husband is actually the reason this video was available to comment on ❤️ I haven't recorded a new video in a while so he has been recycling the older videos into shorts 😉 to keep our page active during my mental hiatus. @@RecapturedValues it is from a genuine place, I saw how you had a lot going on with 3 small ones, doing all the sewing and everything around the house. Putting a video up is the easy part ( Pam does it all and films and edits her videos practically daily).Glad you are getting some rest I knew something was wrong because there is no way to do all of that and not get burned out.

Have you had any issues with the sleeves becoming very heavy with the use of the elastic for the gathers? I have found that the sleeves fall off my daughter’s shoulders, not sure if I just need to size down or what.

Yes, I used it inside the placket, either interfacing or a small piece of 100% cotton or flannel cut to size will work as well 😉 anything to give it more stability so the snaps don't rip out.

Thank you! I like to use these: bullet knit, liverpool knit, or scuba as they have enough weight for the bow to not be super floppy without needing an interfacing for added stiffness 🤌🏻✨️😉

My goodness. Im on my mod sixties and have been pretty much sewing since my teens. BUT i have a two yr old grandgaughter so im doing some sewing now. Your videos and tutorials are spot on. All this new fashion and stuff is nice but you are an excellent teacher. Congratulations.
