Bailey, do you find the seams are ‘heavy’ or stiff with all the overlocking (surging) on such small clothing? My first Grandchild is due in February and second in June, and I really want to sew clothing for them ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

No, not if correct settings are used, its what most store bought garments are made using. If concerned about something like a sensory issue, you could topstich the seams down using sewing machine or coverstitch so they are flat on inside of garment. ❤️

Have you had any issues with the sleeves becoming very heavy with the use of the elastic for the gathers? I have found that the sleeves fall off my daughter’s shoulders, not sure if I just need to size down or what.
