So, it's a fun house horror show! Fantastic! Too few paintings have a sense of mystery these days, they seem to range between noise and laziness.

I did see this exhibition and thoroughly enjoyed it. Many of his paintings capture rural life in the 1960s and 70s. Uprooted trees allow sunlight into the forest and decay enriching the soil. When livestock dies they too are returned to the earth. Our climate can be harsh and frightening however life goes on. There is nothing more dangerous than a buzz saw, but it was once the best way to rapidly produce firewood. I suppose that what is really unsettling is that our society has lost touch of the lives of our parents and grandparents. But of course this is merely my humble interpretation. Gotta find the artist's, and Kyle's, sense of humor in "The Cat Museum. Thank you for this exhibition.

Actually several different scales at play here. The basket of apples is massive, beside the tiny cat, smaller than an apple.
@nigellee9824
@nigellee9824 11 ай бұрын
No, you’re wrong, back in the 19th century they had apples that were as big as a cat, but they were too big to carry, and you couldn’t eat a whole one, they were used as cannon ball’s during the boar war, and eventually cross breeding gave us the small tasteless apples that our supermarkets prefer…

This shared virtual program is motivated by just that factor. For Hopper rights reasons we can’t just post every image online. To go even deeper, we invite you to pick up a copy of the catalogue that reproduces everything in the show through the web and physical stores of the Brandywine and Farnsworth.

It would've been nice to show the painting without the stupid text over it. You could've had about sixty seconds or so, of just the painting, and no commentary.
