I am definitely inspired by the spirit of Detroit as many people are trying to rebuild. One thing to note if you move there is that car insurance is extremely expensive there.

It's kind of Funny that half my family lives in Northwest Ohio. Originally 3 Generation's of Farmers in the Black Swamp of Bowling Green but no cousins wanted to be Farmers except me stuck in Moo Hampshire! 😂 I guess it depends on what part of Ohio as well. Farmlands tend to have Skinny Roads and deep Ditches and only a few Speed Limit signs. 55mph on a long tight twisty road and 35 on straight long farm roads. Seems a bit backwards but whatever. Another plus for Ohio is I don't believe they have mandatory Car Inspections. Where we have aweful Super Strict Car Inspections. If you have the smallest spot of Rust you have to get it repaired or fails. Live Free or Die my Ass! Don't need a Helmet for riding a Motocycle but you have to wear a Seatbelt. We sure are batcrackers here! LOL We have the same issue with Salt and Brine in the Winter on our roads and Upstate NY Vermont and Maine. Another plus or Minus for Ohio are Trains. If your a Rail Fan it's almost Heaven. But most Ohioians hate them for blocking roads and intersections! Besides derailing and spilling chemicals every so often. Some reason I'd still like to live there but not in the budget to move so only can visit the Fairs and Festivals in the late Summer and Fall. There is a New Hampshire Ohio though I have to visit sometime! 😂

These stats are off. Way off. I live here I'm googling the stats they don't match. There are little jobs here, nothing to do. Unless you a gambler. Ghost town. If you uneducated the average pay is around 11 dollars. So of course the houses don't cost much and the housed are old. A lot of closed down businesses down town ghost town. Very hot. Need a car. They claim it's high crime but coming from a larger city. Staying in high land. I'm not seeing much crime but a lot of abandoned houses and burned houses.

You were pretty much spot-on about the "Cons" of living in Ohio ....But.... in Addition to the mining industry going belly-up, The American auto industry's misfortunes have been shared with Ohio as well. There has been a lot more jobs leaving Ohio, than coming here since the end of the 1970's. The government's feeble attempts to help, Hasn't helped much at all. People keep leaving here in droves - Not slow growth, BUT NEGATIVE GROWTH Fewer people = less tax revenue = tighter budget = less incentive for businesses = fewer jobs.......and the cycle repeats over and over

Ha ha, I was just waiting for the con being it's Ohio. Of course it's way better than Michigan! I grew up in Ohio, and soon will move back to my home state after decades. Ohio just has not had the infrastructure $$ some other states have had. It has my heart tho - Ohioans are strong people who can withstand the weather and adversities. Thank you for posting this video, with your honest views.

Ugly tacky houses and a one of the most racist states in the union . There must be some beautiful old houses there , but then that state which is one of the poorest states has a very bad reputation. Unfortunately
