In this video I will talk about 5 States you should consider moving to if you feel Ohio is no longer a safe place for your or your child.
Ohio to me is a great place to live. However, I am a cis white dude in his 40's. I don't have to deal with discrimination. I don't have to worry about having my life threatened if I pull over in the wrong town to get something to eat. Unfortunately for our Trans Ohioans, they can't much say the same.
On Thursday January 26th, 2024, the legislature for the State of Ohio reversed Governor Mike Dewine's veto of House Bill 68.
House Bill 68 is a controversial law that will go into effect in Ohio in 90 days. It will ban transgender minors from receiving gender-affirming health care and prevent transgender female athletes from participating in girls' and women's sports. The law was passed by the Republican-controlled legislature over the veto of Governor Mike DeWine, who argued that it violated the rights of parents and children. The law has been criticized by LGBTQ+ rights groups, medical associations, and children's hospitals as harmful and discriminatory.

If things don't change from a leadership level, the cost to Ohio is going to be way greater than just losing some amazing Trans residents. We could very well discourage companies in more Liberal areas from opening facilities in our state...
