Honestly i like what they did with the game after they took it offline but they just waited too long and thats unacceptable in today's gaming environment. with everybody trying to compete for the next gamers time and dollar, Look at the evolution of the battlepass era. New content, New seasons everywhere all the time. Shutting a game down for a YEAR in an environment where Developers depend on monthly renewable content to keep games alive is a death wish. Its not a game i play everyday either but now and then i would come back to play it. But if i finished the battle pass or was waiting for a new character i would play other games. It bums me out, also you know how many character tickets i still got? I need at least 8 new characters to finish those 😂

What’s sad is that the newest update fixed a lot of the issues people had with the game. They increased the speed of combos to be more similar to the beta and are giving you the new characters for free.

The movement hasn't even been changed. That's just high level play. They did a ton of character changes though. It's a really good game that's getting slept on theo bad monetization and marketing

Tbh apart of me saw this coming which honestly it was fine while it lasted like it had its buzz but damn did all the hype for it died off quick which as you said it had the potential to be the new age smash bros but unfortunately they fumbled it up!

I’m sort of going to miss multiversus. I feel bad for the team, it sucks for them, I’m most disappointed we got no MK characters, no Mordecai, Gumball, Daffy, Scooby, Johnny Bravo. Loads of iconic characters were missing & there were so many weird & bad choices too. I’ll somewhat miss it… but at least there’s a better chance for us get a mortal kombat collab in Fortnite now 🌚

Corporate greed strikes again

I wanted to give it a shot, but the micro transactions and unlocks seemed predatory and too grindy. I exclusively work 12 hour shifts so I don't have that kinda time. Marvel Rivals got Me pretty quickly cause all the characters were available off rip. Gotta make sure I download it before May so I can still play it at my own pace, assuming they don't just let you unlock everything as soon as it's out of service.

I get why this game was made, but it unfortunately had too many flaws from a business perspective and it unfortunately caught up to the game's perspective. They need to start realizing that they need to stop trying to compete against smash bros. because nothing will top that game. Playstation all stars battle royale failed and now this failed. They need to focus on making new games instead of focusing on games that can compete with other popular games of that exact style.

I don't see how people enjoyed the pre launch. It felt unfinished. I enjoyed how it plays now. I think they overcomplicated the currency and season matches.
