Thank you for your videos I'm wondering,..? Did your builder use a machine for the foundation or was it done by hand ???
@livinginthephilippines35918 сағат бұрын
On our house? The foundation was done by hand. Only for the concrete, they used a machine.

All the bitter dudes who don't have the balls to go and do this. Also for guys complain that the women is going to take anything....if you live in the west isn't this exactly what all western women say? Don't they take you for everything? Don't they want a 6 figure guy? You have more chance of a western women taking all your stuff then a Filipino l. Stop being jealous of a dudes success.

i am looking to build in the very near future, in provinces though, looking at some land at the moment 18000 square meters plus hoping to build decent size house land will be about 5 million, cheaper being in the hills, there is concrete road so hopefully getting materials there should be ok. hoping we can build decent place have budgeted another roughly 8 million for the build including all kitchen and bathroom fitments, 76 now been married 13 years have two daughters so trust thing is not a problem besides would want her to have it anyway, was broke when i first came here and i mean broke wife used to lend me money. land is a couple of hours outside cebu.

I am currently building a house with my wife in Panglao. Yes, it is risk! People always mention the relationship going wrong as the reason for losing your investment, but what about the government kicking all foreigners out? In today's geopolitical environment, anything can happen it seems! Nevertheless, I am building with the understanding that I can lose it all tomorrow with no recourse for recovery! Life will go on! According to my understanding, the law clearly states a 40-60 ownership. 40% to foreigners & 60% to Filipino in partnership. Thus, if you 2 are of marital partnership, what's the problem. I think nobody can send you away, but for whatever reason problem occur, I believe you can contest your right by then.

You trying to say those women are better lol. This dudes got a better chance that the Filipino women will stay with him and look after him then he ever would in the west.

Im building a 40sq meters house with half level for bedrooms innpanglao. I have still reinforcements but some smart arse used the thin hollow blocks.im not sure if its strong enough. Maybe when i build a wall inside for the bathroom it will strenghened a structure a bit .also the kichen i can use hollow blocks to make the corner stronger.and half level above.

Not true anymore, he certainly can lay claim to the house if he wanted and that would need to be split in a sale she couldn't just take it. The land could also be contested if they are married and some money also there. Also if he becomes a citizen should he choose then he's fine

One of the things about the Philippines is the lack of skilled labor. I was helping a friend in the Philippines who had damage to his Roof.. it was only a 6 ft section. .. maybe a 6 hour job at the most. It cost $1200 and it took 3 weeks to finish. I have seen a guy build a house which was supposed to be $119,000 and the final cost was $189,000 for a 1600 sq ft house...

finally a video which provides an accurate cost of building here. Of course it varies by region.....cost of bringing in materials and labor rates. Note that going with a 2 story house is not really any less per sqm as here everything is concrete which means pilings to support added weight plus concrete posts and beams and 2nd floor slab which can be more than savings on roofing area.

- Gutes Video.
