Thanks for watching Todd. When I first got the 17vs-c , a lot wood had ice on the rounds. I had a few pieces that made it feel not to safe. Once I got beyond the ice,things went well. You know as well as I do, you need to read the wood. It’s to easy to have the knife hit a change in the wood grain and slam that piece to the table. It was really nice to see Evan home to help out a few videos back. I really appreciate your support.

Hi Larry and Robin. I need a skid steer to move heavy items . I can’t tell you how much I depend on that machine. I use it for everything. I at least have been able to still use it, but gently. I go back and forth on this problem. One thing I worry about is did Shiburro change anything on the replacement motor compared to the one that we’re taking out. No one has been able to give me a straight answer on that. I wanted to see if we couldn’t retro fit a Kubota motor as a replacement. There are no kits at this time available. I’ve been looking for a good used one. Well I found what you found. Some pretty beat up equipment. Some aren’t bad but the price pushes to close to new. Thanks for commenting Larry. Appreciate you watching.

Thanks Kenny. I feel that I should replace the motor too. It’s just hard to put 10-12000 in to it and end up with something that’s still worth the same money. I’m thinking I really should look at putting a wood boiler in. My house has propane hot water boiler and my shop has in floor heat with a hot water boiler. I think both me and Chris would miss the wood stove heat. So I burn some propane until I get out there. I’m getting too old to have that kind of duty. Thanks for watching.

Nice job Al. Ya trying to work upside down at the top of the inside of the stove can be a challenge. Maybe put big pieces of wood at the bottom then small ones at the top. Might be easier to get her full. To bad about the Case. What is wrong with the motor ? Have a great day Al. 👋👋👍🏻👍🏻

Good morning Noel. I noticed in Early August that it was starting harder than usual. It was also smoking when it started but cleared up. I have put 50 hours on it since August. If you remove the fill cap it has blow by coming out . The motor is made by a Japanese company called Shiburo. These motors are used a lot in the early models of small ford tractors. From what I have found they have had a lot of problem with these motors. Funny thing is they aren’t all problems because many have 5-8000 hours with no problems. Of course I had to win the prize of getting one with problems. The motor only has 1250 hrs on it and was made in 2007. We definitely have bad rings on a cylinder. It seems weird when it starts it really rumbles and is definitely running rough on 3 cylinders. As it warms up you hear the 4th cylinder kick in and once that happens it runs some what normally. I first thought we had bad glow plugs on it. The motor burns oil like crazy. Thanks for your interest in the Case, and thanks for watching.
@noelstractors-firewood57
@noelstractors-firewood57 8 күн бұрын
So I don’t know what you’ve tried with it. But it could be cylinder carboned up and stuck rings. I’d put transmission fluid in the fuel and crankcase oil. Transmission oil will clean things up. Just a thought. Can’t make it any worse. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋

Hi Mr. Del. I’ll get the Skid loader problem solved. The skid loader still runs but once started and warmed up it don’t sound to bad. It’s not a long range plan obviously but has helped me continue the addiction. I have put 50 hours on it since August. I don’t put the motor under a heavy load when operating it . Del are you putting your stove in your house or garage? We should have a video out on the processor soon. I love cutting with my saws but being able to run most logs through at 17-18 inch is a huge back saver. The big ones 18 and up I have to cut with the saw. Most trees aren’t that big any more. I’d say 10-15 percent are bigger than 18 inch. Thanks for watching. Take care my friend. Have you recovered to full health? Later bud.
