It's not over. It will come down to whether or not Skinner can shut the door when the inevitable screw up happens in front of him. This should quiet the "Dallas is too deep for Edmonton" so-called 'experts'.

Very good observations. Very impressed with this team & their fans. Teams are very similar in their play. So nice to watch 2 clean playing teams who just play with hockey talent & leave out the dirty stuff that Vegas, L.A. & Vancouver give. Credit too to the Dallas fans. Class act!

Last night Dallas looked like they did in the Vegas series last year…absolutely out of gas. This is VERY difficult to say but Pavelski has had a rough playoff run and he may have benefitted the team more in the suite.

The Stars looked out of gas and the Oilers looked like the better team. They finally scored a goal from Wyatt Johnson but it was too little too late with 5 minutes left in the third period. Ryan Suter committed an illegal check puts Oilers on the power play, a few self inflicted mistakes by the team. The Oilers power play seems to work together with their defense also we gave them way too much space. Once the score became 3 to 0 I knew it was going to be impossible or very difficult for the Stars to come back. Some of the veterans are too old it didn’t look like they showed up at all. Chris Tanev was gutting it out because he didn’t look 100 percent.

Your podcast is excellent. You call it how it is and that’s refreshing. It’s nice to listen to someone who’s not a complete and total homer for once. As an Oiler fan the momentum is in Edmonton’s favour but the series is far from over. Dallas is an excellent hockey team.

If you're a fan its a crap reason but Stars had to go through Vegas and the Avs. The OT games. They look worn out. The old guys look old. You saw it when they went up 2-0 in game 4 and thought they could just sit on it. The Oilers had the easier run, they look like they've gotten healthier as odd as that seems and they've hit their stride. The Stars were the better team going into the playoffs but they're definitely not now. Ottenger is going to have to steal 2 games for them to win it and he's looked mediocre at times. When the Stars couldn't score on a 4 PP in OT in game 1 I thought, damn, that's the series.

This is by far the less stressful series to watch. It’s a clean and balanced with talent and skill. Dallas you are good team but Oilers have come back from the dead to play like playoff hockey since November.

Not a bad start but that first PP for them changed the momentum. No excuses, but didn't like the call at all. Then we toss the puck over the glass and they capitalize on another one. Oilers PP is the best in the league. It was a matter of time before they would show why. After that, they were able to ratchet up the defense more, less emphasis on their fast moving offense, and close out the game. I think having Smith out for two games was a mistake. Ty was not in a good place defensively on that first PP goal. I hate to say it, but Joe has looked really slow the whole series so some younger talent there may have helped and not having Hintz for the first double ot loss was brutal too. Let's get one more on the road and bring it back for a classic game 7.

Tanev is playing injured, Otter is exhausted, and I think a lot of the Stars bought into their own hype - that they were the superior team going into this series - and have underestimated the Oilers, who have now scored 8 unanswered goals in the last 5 periods of hockey. As an Oilers fan I am fully expecting the Stars to have a HUGE pushback when they're facing elimination tomorrow. It'll be an interesting game for sure, and I think we can count on at least one OT

Every single analyst on every single channel called the Stars to win because of their depth. Not one of them mentioned Oilers tied the second place record for wins in a row. That's depth. People calling for Stars sweep, now hopeful for Stars in seven. Thank you Stars for taking care of the cheating and exploiting loopholes blatantly Vegas Leaden Knights

Let me start off by saying that I’m an Oilers fan. I just want to commend both teams for their effort. The ups and downs, rollercoaster of emotions, swing of momentum in this series, has been spectacular. We won’t find out the true extent of the injuries ailing both sides til after the series/season is over, but it’s the best hockey I’ve watched in a long time.

Edmonton completely outplayed Dallas in every way. They can effortlessly enter the zone at will, while Dallas can barely get the puck past Edmonton’s forecheck. Oilers faster to the puck, out position, more physical. And the worst part - oilers wanted it more. Only bright spot for Dallas are our youngins. Stank and Wyat played well. So that’s nice

It became obvious that the Stars do not have an answer for the Oilers when DeBoer lost his shit with that journalist after the Game. You can see his frustration has reached a new level. I don't think the media should be that involved multiple times a day, it is a bad distraction. Edmonton has improved their defense tremendously this year. This coach has something to do with it no doubt.

I disagree. The coach needs to show some emotion now and again! Team needs to rally behind him and "shoot the puck!" They were trying to make the perfect pass that is always getting blocked. Shoot the puck and get a greasy goal or a rebound please!

Minnesota fan here. Cant say i wasnt delighted to see #20 get called for crosschecking McDavid, and get made to pay on subsequent PP. 6 shots halfway through the game(and even then they changed it to 5 lol) I am thoroughly impressed with Oilers playing shutdown D in past 2 games. 8 unanswered goals goals i think. 25 for last 25 penalty kills gor the Oil. Seeing suter whining and crying after being called for a triple crosscheck on McJesus was glorious. Almost like he was very frustrated😂. He pulled that same shit last year against Kaprizov in the playoffs. Suter doesn't get the reputation he deserves, but i believe he is a dirty player. Giving the Oilers power plays will end this team quick you better be very disciplined from here on out. That said, I think Florida is destined to win the cup this year. I wonder if Suter is good in the room or has he continued his cancerous tendencies that he had in Nahville and MN? Either way he is getting paid I guess. You might think he got.knocked down a peg after being bought out due to his diva mentality. I still think the stars might pull this off, but won't win the cup. Better mix up the lineup or something. But i think special teams might lose this for the stars if the oil co tinues their excellent PK and PP.

This team is just embracing its Minnesota sports team roots by absolutely disappearing in big moments. I’ve watched a lot of bad hockey games as a long time Stars fan but this is absolutely embarrassing. Credit to Edmonton 100%. I can’t say enough about how well and structured they have played. With that said Dallas hasn’t even fought for it. It’s not about losing battles when the guys aren’t getting in the battle to begin with. On a side note, anyway we see DeBoer shake things up and bring a guy like Bourque? Fresh legs with a ton of skill and willingness to shoot the puck. We could use all of that right now.

People in Edmonton couldn’t believe how cocky Dallas fans were at the beginning of this series. That shows a lack of understanding the game at a deeper level; you shouldn’t be surprised, the Oilers are a fantastic team. they are making Dallas look bad but it’s just the Oilers are a good team. I think the Oilers are faster and they’re on Dallas so quick, Dallas is having difficulty making good plays.

You should watch Steve Dangle's reactions to Toronto Maple Leafs post game reviews. Ppl watch his youtube videos as therapy for why your home team is better than the Toronto Maple Leafs. Last year's 2nd round playoff wasn't much of an anomaly since the Leafs got swept out. So including this year, it's been a decade that the Leafs keep making the playoffs with top 5 teams with the most wins in regular season but always losing the 1st round in the playoffs. Steve even acknowledges that most of his viewers are non-Leaf fans that like to watch him rant and freak out over the Leafs having the same top players and still losing games and over a decade of 1st round playoff failures.

The problem is De Boer. The guy never learns. Regarding that roughing penalty on McDavid: Its not a penalty. Its an absolute joke. Its the playoffs, i have been watching since 1998. I dont know if todays generation is just a bunch of softies, but it is always give and take, emotions and some dirty tricks here and there. Its mental warfare. Please, just raise the bar. Dont be that guy that supports the destruction of our sports.
