After bypass? Could be air leak or air tank is clogged inside. Or blockage in air lines.

From freightliner dealer OEM $900+. You don’t have to drain fuel. A little bit will come out when you remove fuel lines but not much.

What you mean? Sockets(I don’t remember sizes) and impact gun. Screwdriver with flat head.

A poor connection causes a heated connection, eventually causes arching which increases oxidation which eventually cuts out conductivity.

There is a loose connection between the wires in that plug, which is why it’s getting hot and shorting.

Because it doesn’t sit in coolant, it’s a newer model.

No. If it’s leaking, you should cut airline a little bit and put it in the same fitting. If still leaking, you have to replace air fitting.

People!!! Very important!!!! This is not a permanent fix!!!! It allows you to move your truck to a fix 'em shop. You MUST drain your tank daily!!!! While dryer is bypassed. To really fix it. Replace air dryer, filter, governor. It usually comes together as 1 unit. But make sure it does. Unless you have an older truck and the governor is located by the air compressor.

I did the same thing, but now too much air in the system, air gauge coming close to 150 psi; so stopped and called for recovery; any idea on solving this issue?

It’ll go all the way up, but don’t worry. Nothing will happen. You can safely drive it to the shop. It happens because you also bypassing air governor on the dryer.

Bypass is meant to be a temp "fix" to correct the problem replace the dryer. It should come with filter and governor. Most gov are not adjustable.

If you’re not connected to a trailer you can release air by pressing the trailer brake in or keep tapping the brakes here and there. I’ve had to do this in the past.

Like I mentioned before it doesn’t work for everybody. New update on trucks doesn’t let you do it anymore. But for some trucks it still works.

Air hammer. You want to know brand and model? also there is another guy behind the wall holding rivets from behind. You need two people for that job. So it’s not just a tool that does the job.

Which tools? Alignment machine? It’s hunter alignment. You can google and they’ll schedule showing for you. It’s expensive.

Two hours for replacement and then whatever shop charges for ac recover, vacuum and recharge(usually flat rate for that around $250-$300)

Release the tractors brakes and it does the same thing but doesn’t waste fuel. Make sure you are hooked up to a trailer obviously.

Depends on what oil you use and how often you run your truck. Usually we recommend to do it every 20000miles for OTR. Some OTR companies push it to 50k. Local trucks customers usually do it every 15k.

On a spring ride trailer there is a *torque* bar. It's right behind the wheels on the roadside. Turn with a pipe wrench to adjust the alignment.
