When you're choosing colors, how did you know when the stitch was tack down?
@sewyoungdesigns40313 жыл бұрын
Not sure what you mean. I run the design and it will first do the placement for all 5 lamps. Then I stop the machine and place the batten and run the second stitch. After that I will trim the batten and place the fabric and it will tack that down. Then it runs through the design from there. You can add stops where ever you want. On a single needle the machine will stop at every color change. On a 10 needle the machined does not stop unless it has run through all 10 colors and is looking for number 11. I hope that helps if not feel free to reach out to me will be glad to help.

Nice tutorial! Which is the lightest weight?
@sewyoungdesigns40313 жыл бұрын
Heat and Bond has a light and ultra. Since it is an appliqué and you will sew down you only need the light.

Thank you SO MUCH for these very clear and helpful videos about stippling! I'm starting a trapunto design which needs the little squares in the background. Could not do this without your help! PS I am finishing up the design which I created on IQ with a black line flower. I'm using the brick-like background and will stitch it on a thin cotton fabric with a thick batting. It looks so beautiful! I wouldn't have been able to do this and so quickly without your video!!!

Are these individual designs part of a bundle or package that I can buy somewhere? Is there a link for buying these?

Why didn’t you just use the shape and resize it to fit the center and add the different attributes.
@sewyoungdesigns40315 жыл бұрын
What I found when I did that was that I was not getting it to line up correctly. I first tried to take the first flower and copy it and then paste but if was just as fast to go back to IQ change the stitch type and it would drop it in correctly.

How do you stipple an entire quilt? I don’t know how to hoop the quilt so I can stipple the entire quilt.
@sewyoungdesigns40316 жыл бұрын
Minno S To do a large quilt you need to re-hoop lots of times. That leads to issues with alignment which is difficult to do. There is a way to do it, I saw it done by Amelie Scott. On her website she sells a book with the CD of designs that she made and added connection points. In the book she will teach you how to line up one design to the next one. I highly recommend it. What I have doe here and you can do it with any quilt that has blocks is just stipple in the blocks only. I hope it helps and if you have any questions please let me know.
@minnos20756 жыл бұрын
Sew Young Designs I never thought to stipple inside each block. You’re brilliant! Thanks so much!

Magnetic hoops are fantastic for this process. They are pricey though. Also I use a mouse to do this process and find my accuracy is better.
@sewyoungdesigns40316 жыл бұрын
I agree. I am looking at getting the hoops here soon. I also use a mouse 90% of the time. I like a trackball the best and it makes things a lot faster.
