Hello, I would like to sponsor you with a brand-new smart irrigation controller next spring. The controller's app allows you to complete all watering settings and automatically skip watering according to the weather. Are you interested?

Why are you people so fucking anal about your grass. I like a clean look, but I don't care if the grass is torn as compared to a perfect cut. It grows back.

New subcriber, thanks for the tips i have a question, the Scott brand I want to say are synthetic, which one do you recommend for St. Agustin?
@thesuburbanhomenut11832 ай бұрын
The best one is organic, but it's just as important to give the grass what it needs. Test your soil then pick the nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium that fits it. My grass is high in phosphorus and low in potassium, so I use a 16-0-8. Your lawn might be low in phosphorus and high in potassium, so maybe a 16-4-0 would work.
@efrainarriaga12422 ай бұрын

Question when you are walking around the fence line with the spreader I though the spreader shoots out like 4 feet each side So is it ok to be about 4 feet away so the stuff doesn’t hit the fence and all fall down at the base of the fence

Hi, great video. Can I put all down all this down the same time with some 6-3-0 in October after aeration?
@thesuburbanhomenut11833 ай бұрын
Yes you can. 6-3-0 is a good choice if your lawn is low in phosphorus and high in potassium. If it's high, don't use a fert that has it. Thanks for watching.

I have a lot of brown patches, probably caused by chinch bugs. After putting some Triazicide on the lawn, how do I make the St. Augustine grass come back? Do I just put soil over it?
@thesuburbanhomenut11833 ай бұрын
I'd recommend digging around the brown areas into the green and look for grubs to confirm. To fix brown patches, you can use a 1:1 mixture of sand and Black Kow, level it, and spray it down with water.

Do you spray these products all in the same day? Also mix or separate application
@thesuburbanhomenut11833 ай бұрын
You can mix them but I recommend mixing only two at a time. They can get thick and not spray well, even when they're topped off with water. Thanks for watching.
@ICanDoItMyself4 ай бұрын
Can it be applied in the Phoenix summer heat on St. Augustine?
@thesuburbanhomenut11833 ай бұрын
I believe the application directions says to not use it when the temps are above 80-90 degrees. You might want to do it as late in the evening as possible and make sure to not water it for a day two.

I’ve applied Scott’s bonus s which contains Atrazine but I read I cannot use it atrazine more than twice a year, any thoughts?
@thesuburbanhomenut11833 ай бұрын
That might be true. You can also use Prodiamine on St. Augustine to mix it up a bit. That way you're not overdoing the Atrazine. 2,4-D and Dicamba should never be used on St Aug. Thanks for watching.

I have a lawn with St. Augustine grass with many dead snd smashed grass patches due to foot traffic. I think Kikuyu grass looks similar to Augustine grass? If I mix both grasses by planting Kikuyu grass in the dead patch areas, will the final lawn result into a similar looking mix of grasses? Or would I have done a mistake and done a mix of grasses that is not compatible and I'd have to go and kill out the Kikuyu? Thanks.
