I know this video is old, but what does the mode toggle do? I mean I can hear that it sends it over the top but what's going on?

Great video indeed, I bought te same amp two months ago and didn't have any idea about how to activate the effects, is the footswitch the only way to activate the effects? If so, then could please share the schematic drawing, I have no knowledge about electronics so I could send it to a professional to build it for me.

been wondering, does anyone know if the sk-5 suffers from the same 'dc thump' issue that i find the sk-1 has?

and more generally if there's a way of stopping the sk-1 from having that annoying dc thump on samples at all?

@@pipefx64 if you have a metronome click like microseconds before your sample you can avoid it somewhat

I have the original manual that came with my Hundred 212 (G100) combo amp, and it shows all the other amps in this series as well. Unfortunately it doesn't show or give any information about a factory footswitch. You did a great job on that switch and the added jack on the amp. I'd love to find something that nice. These amps are slept on. I haven't found anything close for tone and power under $700. I got mine for $149 last month, and it's with me for life. The reverb is so cavernous and classic, its hard to believe this isn't a tube amp. I love this amp!

Thank You my friend for the video. An under-rated amp? for sure! I picked 1 up about 8 months ago. Any way you could hook me up with a schematic drawing of your foot switches cause like you I can find very little on this amp
@Ihavealltherightstuf7 жыл бұрын
Hey there Dave it's actually very simple. For every jack for the switchable effects on the amp, the Signal/tip is just being grounded and thats what disables the effect!

DIP switch bend is cool... small and effective... but the SK-1 gets deep with a potentiometer or two.
@Ihavealltherightstuf8 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was more of an easy quick mod plus you can still try all of the new mods with each instrument sound yielding different results. I didn't mess with it and explore too much but I did find a sort of 8 bit square wave mod in it then bypassing the normal signal then sending it to the mixing amp. But I've got to find my notes again. That'll be in the future!

@Ihavealltherightstuf8 жыл бұрын
+Greg Yankou This is critical! White socks are too linear and dull sounding when it comes to sweeping the filter, whereas black socks are logarithmic in nature thus closer to the original ICAR taper in wah wahs.

would you be willing to put up the exact schematic you used? i love the way you made this sound and would love to try to recreate it
@Ihavealltherightstuf9 жыл бұрын
+Christian Guzman Perhaps one day, it was sold shortly after the video was made. Just search the Tim Escobedo circuit and the Vox Repeat Percussion, the layouts are available. The exact transistors and component values varied in my build as a result of experimentation. I can't remember and I never documented them so I'm just as eager to built it again.

Super-Cool! Want one, but have a couple of questions: - Is this the standard BYOC housing? - If yes, was it difficult to get the additional jack in (space-wise)? - Did you do any other mods except for s1169.photobucket.com/user/shorty65mustang/media/BYOCEnvelopeFilterMods.png.html? - What is the side switch for? Questions, questions, questions!!!
@Ihavealltherightstuf10 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks! Glad people are enjoying the mod. Yes this is the enclosure that comes with the kit, I just etched it for graphics. No it wasn't hard at all plenty of space. i1169.photobucket.com/albums/r518/shorty65mustang/IMG_0724.jpg This pic shows is the pedal stock. i1169.photobucket.com/albums/r518/shorty65mustang/byocpinocchiotheory024.jpg The side switch toggles between the photocell and the stock "manual" pot for the filter. All of that is bypassed if you plug in an expression pedal in the side 1/4" jack which then also controls the filter.

@Ihavealltherightstuf11 жыл бұрын
Thank man, Yes it the guitar>fuzz>tremolo>then amp. If I remember correctly I used silicon just one NPN and PNP low gain transistors. It just seems to be the nature of this fuzz circuit. It played and sounded like what I'd imagine a vintage germanium 60's fuzz would. Hard? Maybe, the size of this circuit was fairly small. Ha, soldering quickly becomes tedious Experimentation is key! Play with component values to change the sound to your liking, this pedal is the result of just that.
@MYGAS2111 жыл бұрын
VERY VERY NICE! I like the way the fuzz (germanium right?) is tremolized. It is not easy ....do you agree?
@Ihavealltherightstuf11 жыл бұрын
No not at all! All it took was the extra hardware such as the light dependent resistor, a DPDT switch, and a 1/4'' switched stereo jack. I'll make a diagram soon and post a link.
