Here's a demo of my G100 amp head, the first in the series of G 100 watt amps. Late 70's I believe. Information is limited so I wanted to do a quick overview to help demystify this uncommon amplifier.
Great clean tones very punchy. Very loud. As for the distortion it sounds corny with normal EQ settings, say with the controls around 12 'o clock. But I like it set with the Midrange and Bright nearly maxed out with Bass and Treble pulled back around 2. This is gets the best sound out of the distortion, dynamic and midrang-ey. The reverb is deep and loud, one of the strong points of this amp! Tremolo is pretty good, lightning fast like the intro to "Iron Man" fast. There is one problem with my amp in particular, there's a slight hiss/white noise in the background. The interesting thing is that it isn't amplified so once you're past 1-2 in volume you can't hear it anymore.
Lastly one of my biggest issues was finding a footswitch. Many searches online produced nothing. So after studying the effects switch circuitry I built my own footswitch. The signals are being attenuated to ground so a simple SPDT switch will do. I also used 4-pin DIN connectors and 4 conductor wire with ground of course to make one clean cable.
This is definitely an underrated amp, it sounds great and is affordable when you can find one. Perhaps even comparable to the Lab Series amps in tone.

I have the original manual that came with my Hundred 212 (G100) combo amp, and it shows all the other amps in this series as well. Unfortunately it doesn't show or give any information about a factory footswitch. You did a great job on that switch and the added jack on the amp. I'd love to find something that nice. These amps are slept on. I haven't found anything close for tone and power under $700. I got mine for $149 last month, and it's with me for life. The reverb is so cavernous and classic, its hard to believe this isn't a tube amp. I love this amp!

Got the same amp last week in mint condition. The cleans are amazing but lots of troubles with my fuzz/muff pedals. Fun to fix that. Thanks for the EQ tips and great what y did with the switches :D

Great vid! I am in the same point with the footswitch here. Are the switches momentary or latching type by any chance?

Great video indeed, I bought te same amp two months ago and didn't have any idea about how to activate the effects, is the footswitch the only way to activate the effects? If so, then could please share the schematic drawing, I have no knowledge about electronics so I could send it to a professional to build it for me.

Thank You my friend for the video. An under-rated amp? for sure! I picked 1 up about 8 months ago. Any way you could hook me up with a schematic drawing of your foot switches cause like you I can find very little on this amp

Hey there Dave it's actually very simple. For every jack for the switchable effects on the amp, the Signal/tip is just being grounded and thats what disables the effect!
