@@mattkunselman1336 the airbag has two spikes on it that point to the back of the airbag. Near the tip of the spikes there is a recessed channel that goes around it. There are wire clips on the steering wheel that rest in the recesses. You have to lodge a straight screwdriver between the clip and spike. The clip is on the outside edge of the spike as I recall (toward the outer edge of the steering wheel).

Yeah. The rubber mounts on my vacuum pump were broken making the pump fall down. This caused the plumbing for the vacuum pump to disconnect. I made new mounts (3D printed in ABS plastic) and reconnected the plumbing. This took care of that.

@@adolg4049 to be honest, I wouldn't know. I imagine the mk6 steering wheel has more functionality than the mk4. That would make it require more wiring than the mk4. Your best bet would be to get a depinning tool to see if you can depin the mk6 connector and insert the pins into a mk4 connector. This will require a wiring diagram for both the mk4 and mk6. There will likely be unused wires on the steering wheel that will need to have heat shrink over the pins to keep them from grounding.

It's not a big deal. Airbags can be placed upside down. They get tossed around in shipping all the time.

I also had an issue with my Jetta's cruise switch. For me, the issue was the main power switch was not functioning. I wound up removing the switch and bypassing the main cruise switch by soldering the wires together at the base of the switch making it always turned on. I honestly believe they designed these cars to break and be replaced after a decade. BTW, If you ever buy a window switch, buy the bezel that holds it in as well since the tabs that hold it in are designed to break when you remove the bezel.
