Ironically, this kind of reverence only served to alienate and isolate Griffith from the rest of the Hawks. The fact that Guts didn't worship him as a god made him the only person Griffith could relate to and feel comfortable confiding in.

@@3slicessenpai Ooh interesting. So they moved the scene for the adaption? I'm little informed on the subject yet have the impression that the 97 anime was carefully edited. I think it was a good choice to cut out Wyald and the interaction between Griffith and the King of Midland

@@Crafty_Spirit I'll admit, I know very little about the 97 anime, the Golden Age movies and the 2016 anime. So I don't know how faithful the adaptations are. For example, I was shocked that Zodd chucking the sword at Guts during the Battle for Dordrey was cut out from the movie adaptation. So yeah, in the manga, we have the fate speech right when Femto is introduced when the Godhand appears before Guts, Puck, Theresia and the Count. But in the 97 anime, since we never had the Black Swordsman arc, that speech was moved to just before Guts has his reflection near the river, before Pippin tackles him into it.

Just read the chapter a few days ago. One of the best manga I've ever read, and chapter 191 was so beautiful, warming and well written I couldn't stop my tears from flowing out of my eyes. Amazing and straight to the point video man!

Judea's understanding of Griffith and his dream just hit me! Slan might've been right when she said to Griffith that even if Griffith chooses to sacrifice the hawks they will forgive him, coz they love him. And all the main members went out without even cursing his name or thinking I'll of them. Rickert was in the same place emotionally too, until later on when he grew a pair and slapped the taste outta Griffith's mouth
