People who create thoughtful, beautiful, high quality content have relatively few followers. The masses want McDonald's, not organic, gourmet cuisine. Likewise, the shows that are often most popular are dumbed down for the low IQ masses and intelligent actors become performing monkeys, giving the people what they want. When they do anything too intellectual or edgy or anything that challenges people's addiction to thinking highly of themselves, these people who are of average intelligence don't get it and take offense. She was entitled to her opinion and personal perspective. She was just stating facts and it triggered the shame of the idiots. The bottom line is people don't like being told that the things they want may be stupid, unethical or wrong in some way. It triggers fear and shame and then they go on the attack, as these guys even showed a few times in this clip.

There have been plenty of actors that have admitted some of their work felt disappointing to them. Sometimes for their performance and sometimes because the writing sucked... And as we've all seen so much lately writing can definitely suck. That show is not perfect, it's had its ups and downs like all things. Even the best actor can only do so much with less than stellar material. There was a writers strike during Season 4 of Grey’s Anatomy, and along with the season being 10 episodes shorter than the others, many characters were hardly included, Katherine’s being one of them. Actors do this all the time. She just decided to make it public, and people like Joe and Bill just think she’s ungrateful, when really she probably helped contribute to the show getting much better from that point on. Unfortunately, like many actors she doesn't stop to think before running her mouth. She doesn't think about how her words will affect her colleagues. She SHOULD'VE known better or asked before declining an award and pissing on the writers like she did.

The writing on :Grey's Anatomy" was really not compelling, to say the least. No hate. Still, it is weird to think of rise and FALL...if we take any perspective, Heigl is richer than, I bet, most of us will ever be.
