i tried raising the voltage but it changes by itsself
@salesjockey12 күн бұрын
Why did you not use the potentiometer that is built into the avr to adjust the voltage output?
@touche92394 күн бұрын
It looks like the built-in potentiometer did not have enough range to reach the target voltage, but was sufficient for fine-tuning. That does seem weird. I wonder whether a different AVR would have worked without a separate resister, or if the factory setup has a resister built in to the wiring (didn't see that on the wiring diagram), or some other difference.

Bought a nameless generator (may be Mase but not shure) with direction of turning/running anticlockwise (forced by the gasoline engine) I changed engine to diesel turning clockwise. Now no power nowhere. Any idea what to do?

I noticed that the car would cross the lines in especially bright areas where the sun is almost in front of the camera or when the car exits a shadow. after looking at the other comments, maybe it's possible the sun reflects of the bright green neon sticker and flares into the camera above, causing the car not to be able to differentiate the flares and the similar color lines on the road. also more evidence to back this theory up is, the first time it crosses the yellow lines. You can see on the screen it actually switches from the right side of the road to the left side, meaning that it cannot see either the lines on the right side of the road, making the car think its a one-way road, hence it can drive on the side we perceive as the left side. this could be a one time -issue caused by excessive flaring within the camera
@SpoonerTuner3 ай бұрын
That very well could be what happened. It was definitely a sunny day with lots of shadows over the road. The sun was hitting the front of the car pretty directly at times too.

Autopilot is for divide highway use only per the terms of enabling the software. The standard autopilot build is also 5 years old and hasn’t been updated. Only FSD beta is being developed and updated. Autopilot has yet to be unified with FSD neural nets. This video is pretty much pointless as its use case is not being followed and autopilot is not being updated until they unified the build stack with the latest FSD code.

Better be using a low frequency, transformer based inverter instead of one of those low cost, high frequency, transformerless inverters to charge your Tesla. High frequency inverters provide no galvanic isolation between the inverter's DC boost stage and its AC output which can allow high amperage DC current to pass through to your Tesla's onboard charger and severely damage it.
@SpoonerTuner3 ай бұрын
Well that's good to know. I have a 12kw low frequency pure sine inverter. I had no problems with it changing the car. I also tried charging with my 3000 watt high frequency modified sine wave inverter and it seemed to worked fine too but ya I may have just been lucky with it. Thanks for the heads up.

@knpstrr3 ай бұрын
@@SpoonerTuner Yeah, adaptive cruise control with stop and go works on most cars in the city, but it isn't meant for that. FSD (which you have to pay extra for) is the "full self driving". Autopilot comes on every Tesla and is adaptive cruise control with lane centering.

if you check the manual it's written to use autosteer only on highway. Directly from manual: "Autosteer is intended for use on controlled-access highways with a fully attentive driver. When using Autosteer, hold the steering wheel and be mindful of road conditions and surrounding traffic. Do not use Autosteer in construction zones, or in areas where bicyclists or pedestrians may be present. Never depend on Autosteer to determine an appropriate driving path. Always be prepared to take immediate action. Failure to follow these instructions could cause damage, serious injury or death."
@SpoonerTuner3 ай бұрын
It's a rental car. I probably should have checked the manual. But I've tested it out on other rural roads and even in the city traffic and it did pretty good. Not sure why it was having so much problems staying in its lane that day on that highway.

You have a sticker on your windshield that's probably blocking the camera's view of the traffic lines. You should be able to visually see the yellow lines on the screen but instead they are grey lines.

The bright sticker could cause a glare issue. The best thing to do is to drive the same route in the same condition without the sticker. Obviously hard with a rental. But you should report it to Tesla

@SpoonerTuner3 ай бұрын
True its not FSD. But this was a highway. Just not a controlled access highway. I'm sure there are many other people using it on rural back roads and highways like this one. This really shouldn't have happened. It's worked on other similar highways for me before.

It should only be used when there is a divider between the roads.

don't matter FSD or Autopilot. Both should and can keep the car within the lines. I have autoPilot and have driven in Australia with twisty roads with double-sided lines, although we drive on the left side. The car performs well and only travels a bit fast on bends. This seems like a glitch, that it definitely should not do. As the car is coded to send an abort message once it loses control(in this case crossing the lines) Possible it's a unique problem with your hardware? You should get it checked
@SpoonerTuner3 ай бұрын
I agree with you. This shouldn't happen even in Autopilot's Autosteer and should be fixed. It did it several times on this route that day. It did fine on other roads during other days but not sure why it had problems this time.
