I’m more concerned this is old mates first ever car. Could have extremely limited ability for car control. How to be seated correctly in drivers pew and mistakes on the public road with potential for injury to others.

after actually watching it all this guy only convinced me with even more evidence to why NEVER to buy a Tesla Model 3 as it may have a battery fault that cripples performance and stops fast charging and regen breaking... OMG that would/has NEVER happen with a Made in Japan NISSAN LEAF ZE1

a used JDM NISSAN LEAF Ze1 e+ is better in every way that matters cheaper to buy by ten grand + used ten times higher quality like a LEXUS made in Japan billion times better looking with sexy sharp lines where the tesla looks like a fat blob and only a Elon Musk supporter who is a NAZI worshiper / trump moron would like a Tesla the software as a scam on tesla is revolting and just ripping off free Linux software so is Nothing special to everyone who understands Linux open source software which Elon has STOLEN 60kwh battery in long range LEAF is bigger and better than base model 3 only 50kkwh so shite made in Japan cars have stronger Forged steal than any other country of origin both made in USA and Made in China cars are of the lowest quality very very rubbish lemons that will not last beyond the warranty without major repairs as they are very unreliable

It's good to keep this type of NMC Li-ion battery charged between 30-80%, or even 40-70% for longevity. Store the battery at around 30% if you need to park the car for a while, particularly in summer.

Another cracker video thanks! Keep an eye out for a Smart Fortwo EV, it would make an interesting candidate for a video. Having spent a little time in a Smart Roadster (ICE), we very nearly bought a Smart Fortwo EV, as a bit of a giggle. Sadly, we then got serious... we had already decided that our retired lifestyle only needs one vehicle, so we settled on a Kia Niro EV. Love it to bits... pity about the giggles!

I bought an MG4 a year ago, (U.K.), Trophy model which looks to be the equivalent of yours (even same colour). I think it is great value for money, especially as here it was with 0% interest financing. It is not perfect ( the lane keep assist is too aggressive) but for the money, at the moment probably best value car. In the summer in long distance ( for the U.K.) mixed driving I get more than WLTP , also it charges slightly faster at ultra rapid than advertised.

I would normally never consider lowering a car, but has anyone done it with these? I keep asking if it's a car on an SUV, and on reflection, I think it's an SUV trying be a car. Which is odd. I wonder how it would look and handle if it sat lower.

I'm curious what range the 77kwh version gets on road trips at ~110km/hr? I have a Born and i don't think it's as efficient as the MG4, i get about 380-410km depending on winter-summer.

Great vid series, would have have been interesting to hear more about (i) moans & niggles. Here in the UK there's a lot of noise about the LKA feature in the MG (our roads can be quite narrow), is that the same experience where you are? (ii) the build quality, over here MG was recently voted (see What Car report 2024) the least reliable brand in the EV sector? The MG4 appears to represent exceptionally good value as a package.
@NeeravBhatt12 күн бұрын
In the UK your MG4 buyers got V1 without rear wiper, centre headset, OPD and initial software. In Australia we got access later to the MG4 so all ours are V2 with rear wiper, centre headset, OPD and newer versions of software that had a lot of the UK V1 issues fixed already I will do a video soon on my channel expanding on my explanation above

Really silly question... Irish driver (EV) ... Watching Dashcam Owners Australia KZbin videos, I see a lot of vehicles with that carpet mat doodah added on top of the standard dashboard... Why? Is it something to do with dashboard plastics being hot in summer?
@Sulu-d4r12 күн бұрын
Was wondering that myself. Thought it might be for sound dampening, but your explanation of it sounds more logical.
@colinwest549612 күн бұрын
Yes you are right, it protects the dash from the sun. It gets bloody downunder.
@NeeravBhatt12 күн бұрын
Yes dashmats are because it is so hot here at least half of the year in the southern half of Aus and hot all year in the Northern half of Aus
@leosheppard8517Күн бұрын
Hey Ireland! It’s a dash mat. used 1 in my last car due to sun glare off the dash. The unique curve of my Mitsubishi Verada and the 8am sun (driving north into the morning sun) would hit the dash above the instrument cluster, into the glass and my face. Annoying. Also used for heat control and avoiding uv deterioration of the plastic dash…. But lately hasn’t been a problem with sun damage. If anything, these mats just absorb heat and maintain a possible damaging hot dash to equipment in the dash. Hope this helps

Can't believe I forgot to mention One Pedal Driving! Full OPD to a dead stop makes my MG4 so much easier to drive. None of the small EV competition have full OPD eg GWM Ora, BYD Dolphin (actually no BYD EV supports OPD), Cupra Born, Renault Megane E-TECH, Volvo EX30... I barely use the foot brake except when doing 3 point turns
@tims970113 күн бұрын
I really need to get the software updated on my 51 so I can try the OPD. Where is the over the air updates? Software is the biggest weakness of the MG4 I think.

The one pedal driving has regen on number 1. Rather have regen 3 and brake as normal.
@NeeravBhatt13 күн бұрын
@@tims9701short answer is the MG4 was designed about 4 years ago and updates are a bit tricky requiring changes to lots of software modules which can take hours . Not suitable for doing at home via OTA
