Thanks for the video. I just tried this - using the mapping option for the M3E that is now available in FH. It loads onto the controller and everything looks fine, but as soon as I try to run it the app crashes (fly app running on RC Pro), It will run missions I create on the controller just fine, so there is obviously something in the KMZ it doesn't like. If I figure it out I'll post an update but, for now, this either doesn't work...or doesn't work with the map option even though it looks like it comes in as a waypoint route.

I’m not sure if this method still works as it’s been at least a year now of updates and several other people have said it doesn’t work. I had sold my Mavic 3 Classic and about a year later got the Mavic 3 Pro and I haven’t looked into mapping since

@@UnitedGrom Hi. could you please provide an old kmz file outputed from Flighthub from a time this did work for you? I am working on wpml/kml files trying all sorts of things to reverse engineer the commands that the Fly app now acknowledges regarding the name formatting differences between wpmz 1.0.6 (FH2) and 1.0.2 (DJI fly) since I dont believe that DJI Fly is straight up unable to not fly curved in WP mode. Thank you

The application has been updated, when starting it there will be a crash in the application. I tried using area route and waypoint, if I use area route it will crash and if I use waypoint the point will be messed up.

I have not looked into drone mapping since I sold my Mavic 3 Classic so I’m not sure wether or not this method still works

@@UnitedGrom The current method is to use litchi or dronelink, DJI is so smart they force us to buy the enterprise series which costs 3 times more than the DJI Mavic 3 which has almost the same specifications.

I hadn’t realized it was in the shot until I began editing the footage. I was actually unaware a train ran through the middle of down town until I saw it in the video

I have dji rc with screen. My mission have 260 waypoints. When i open mission waypoints in dji fly, the app restart. After various test, the mission open and then i click in go button. The drone go to first waypoint, câmera down, Take photo and hover, dont go to second waypoint. Can you help me?

Remove the hover setting from your mission. This is a bug that was present when I first made this video and it does not look like it was fixed. You cannot hover on a mission

Update- I have sold my Mavic 3 Classic and no longer have access to check whether or not this method still works. Keep in mind this video was released months ago so it could very well be that DJI released an update (or several) to prevent users from doing this workaround. DJI is known for this and is the reason they never implemented mapping on the Mavic 3 line other than the enterprise. - Happy flights everyone

These videos are close to a year old, it wouldn’t surprise me if DJI released an update to patch this work around. I sold my Mavic 3 Classic so I have no way of confirming if this method still works

I absolutely love it. It’s super responsive and you can definitely tell the difference in power. Yes, I also have a ported race head on it along with a 28mm intake manifold and throttle body. I have a full parts list in the video description as well for the other supporting mods

Just make a map using dronelink and then save the kmz. Move the kmz into the dummy mission golder swap file names delete dummy mission and done. There is no need to move the dummy file onto your PC just to comply the name.

Hello guys ! Do u know maybe why i have total different layoutat the flight route editor? Also when i press to create a route i have both options (waypoint route, area route) but as soon as i press waypoint route the workspace is total different so i can not do what this legend shows us. Any Ideas plz?

Unfortunately I do not know why it would be different. The only thing would be that an update has come out which caused the interfaces to appear different

Followed the steps carefully to make the waypoints, copying and transferring back and forth from the mini sd to the remote and it worked great. Now just have to test in flight.

So the best mode is still missing? The proper flight softwares only ask for the area, then one sets up “forward” and “side” percentages, direction, camera angle, height, take photos (mode), return type (landing or RTH) and the first point to start with. Have to keep using _Copterus_ or something… _VideoDrone_ has a nice area mapping software though. I’ve been doing photogrammetry area mapping(3D survey) for 6 years now. VideoDrone is a very good option, but it is a bit on the expensive side.

Make sure your app/controller are on the most up-to-date versions. I’ve seen it happen often with people that use the RCN1

It is unbelievable...now dji release a m3 with 3 cameras..but without a sdk release it is just like a play drone ...take some pics shoot a bit video...we are talking about 2000€ up to 4200€ for that...I am talking about m3 m3 classic m3 cine m3 pro...only some waypoints ....dji is really not consumers minded...

This must be on the RC Plus controller? Can you not just plug the controller into your PC? Would eliminate transferring the files to a SD card. They must have changed Flight Hub 2. It doesnt look how yours does and i dont see Flight Route Library.

I use Maps Made Easy but really any software that you can upload pictures to will work

Yes, there’s a line of command/code that the Mavic 3 will not read and it fails the mission, even when you set up the hover from within the remote itself

@@UnitedGrom That's too bad! I am trying to do missions that are greater than 200 scans and it looks like DJI has a limit of 200 scans per route. I tried converting the file in UGCS to waypoints from photogrammetry and then splitting the 600+ waypoints into 4 smaller routes but when I got to upload the files, the drone bugs out when trying to read the waypoints. I wonder if it has a hard time reading waypoints. Have you had any success with larger scan projects greater than 200?
