Not in Olympic sparring, no. It tends to be difficult to register for points because sensors are sparse there though

Thank you for your videos! I am a parent of an athlete and I was wondering if you could do an updated video on pushing penalties. Some of our athletes are misinformed by our coaches about pushing and even shoving in the ring which causes athletes to get hurt when they get pushed down to the ground and out of the ring. Their Taekwondo looks so terrible because of their low level technique and all of them think they are doing the right thing. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for joining us. I did not see an official update on this, I saw some refs give out penalties when the pushing is too obvious. I think you should use your arms but not make it your main goal of pushing because then you are ruining the integrity of the martial art. Pushing while the opponent is kicking or pushing them out of bounds has always been forbidden.
