I'm happy that there are people like this that really care for reptiles and not just the cats and dogs. Reptiles need help too. I adopted a young pewter kingsnake when no one seemed to want her. She was in a pet shop for a pretty long time. She's a beautiful girl so it was pretty surprising that no one was interested

All of the spiders I get are passing by or live in my work area or big barn.

six years old, stepped in a yellow jacket nest.. sunk up to my knees.. got stung 27 times. Mt Hood oregon. Yep it hurt. Grandma put a little ball of tobbacco on each one with a bandaid. Next day i took a bath and was outside playing again. And yes.. I dispose of them every.chance.i.get.😅

At first, I was afraid of spiders. However, after seeing tarantulas numerous times at tarantulas pet shops in Korea, my phobia disappeared. Now I have 15 tarantulas and 3 grown adults Still, spiders that are still poisonous are very scary.

Worst tarantula I ever had, that I gave away to a breeder and was not sad to see him go was a male T. Blondi, the Brazilian Goliath. He was very defensive, would kick clouds of that itching powder all over the place, and as it turns out I'm apparently particularly sensitive to it. I'd get it on my arms, it would get into the carpet and I'd walk on it with bare feet. I'll take something mean, venomous and bitey over that any day.

I want to challenge your comment again about you not being a scientist Richard. I have a masters degree from SVA in NY, I got it by being forced to do a ton of work for 2 years and reading some material. The world finds that to qualify me to be an art director although I know many people in my field that would make better art directors. So what I’m saying is that your obvious passion may very well put your education level above many Zoologists.

If I could ever get my hands on one to film. I saw 3 adult females at the Toronto show but I couldn't get them over the border bc of CITES. Plus, Klassi is a much darker red and easily distinguished from these other tarantulas.
