It's not the lights, but it's actually the power supplies for the lights, since the lights require alot of power, the power supplies are extremely noisy and create a lot of rf interference in the AM and part of the FM range. The cables in the conduit act like antenna's that radiate the interference,

Right. I actually tried to install ferrite chokes on every light to help the situation and they didn’t work. So if someone else thinks that might be a good solution, it’s not worth wasting your time.😉

How much did it cost you to have the blacktop put in? And did you have to level everything out or put down gravel or anything before they black topped?
@beesprojects2692
@beesprojects2692 6 күн бұрын
So the blacktop was already there but the grindings were not. The grindings cost me $17 per ton and each truck could haul 16-17 ton. Each truck was $100 for delivery. So about $375 per truckload. I paid someone $300 to dig it out and then I spread the grindings myself with my wheel loader. Hopefully that answers your question

I would take them to a tire shop and have them balanced if needed. Usually it’s $10 per tire. I don’t have a way to do it but Harbor Freight sells tire balancing equipment if you wanted to do it yourself. You’ll need a hammer and lead weights also.

Yes I could have but I wanted to keep it easily movable. When I had my driveway coated I actually picked It up and moved it and then put it back. I have two forklifts and some 21 foot fork extensions that were used for carrying boats around a marina and that worked perfectly to pick it up and move it out of the way.😁 The long term plan is to move both of these in to the back yard and build a garage starting where the back of the carports are now. So to me it made more sense to do it like this. I’m glad you liked the video, thanks for watching.

Well Lesson: Before you call in the Plumber, check it yourself! Pump running, never builds up pressure - what could possibly cause that? All the valves (faucets) in the house are closed, the PumpTrol's working, there isn't a flooding in the house or at the pressure tank. So, go out to the well, remove the cover and take a look. Years ago, in Florida, our water bill was too high. I went to the meter at the street and noticed the grass wasn't greener on the other (city) side. Dug under that patch of lush green grass to discover a leak in 'our' pipe. Got a SS Hose clamp and a piece of rubber; turned the city valve off; clean the area around the leak; laid the rubber over the pinhole and secured it with the Hose Clamp. We sold that property years later and, I suspect, my repair is still holding tight. Had a well pump in NC run our electric bill up, went to the well head, found a and replaced a cracked fitting and that was 'years ago.' Since, I put in a pump monitor circuit that includes an HOUR METER and a Light and Sound Signal device so that any 'constant running' of the well pump (our controls and pressure tank are down in the basement) will be noticed long before the issue shows up on our Electric Bill! When our PRESSURE TANK failed a couple weeks ago, the pump was cycling frequently. I did some ONLINE research and discovered my WellMate Fiberglass pressure tank bladder had failed (after nineteen years). They wanted $250 just for the replacement bladder so I went with a Larger Tank from HD for $200. I figure I will save the WellMate in case I need to install a Pressure tank OUT OF DOORS in which case $250 for the replacement bladder might make more sense. I have NO IDEA what a plumber would have charged me to come look at my 'problem' but I'll bet I came in (under $300) way cheaper than had I hired someone to replace the pressure tank, 10" T-fitting, pressure relief valve, pressure gauge, Pumptrol Control Switch, drain valve, shut-off valve - plus the removal of the old system and rewiring the lot. Three hundred to replace a fitting - sounds like he knew a friendly plumber! Love what he's doing to his sheds.

I like the idea but gotta add a few thoughts..the average home garage isn’t big enough. The most often done chores are brake jobs, won’t help with that. If you’re working for cash instead of fun oil changes aren’t worth the time investment. And replacing brake and fuel lines which is a mainstay of old car repair is hampered by such a lift not helped…in my opinion.
