Great job! When you come across tree roots causing walls to fall, do you cut back those offending roots or just bump out the wall to go around them? In this case your wall looks quite straight.
@ants_countrylife9 сағат бұрын
@@sherry2836 it all depends on where the wall is and how bad the roots are and also who owns the tree

Love it! We don’t use these kind of walls in the Netherlands. Between our land and the neighbours land we simply have ditches, ditches all around 🫢. But don’t think ditches do not need any maintenance, the government will give you a fine if you don’t do it the correct way!!

Great job Ant! Wow, -4/5 degrees C, that is pretty cold, where I live in Tasmania, it doesn't get that cold in the Autumn/Winter, probably the coldest overnight would be 0/-1 C, but up in the Central Highlands of Tasmania it does get that cold in the winter. We have a number of areas in Tasmania that have dry stone walls (Tasmania was first colonised in 1804! Oatlands in the centre of Tasmania has some wonderful dry stone walls!!

I always look at your brick work as works of art. The brick work, the patterns, colours, shapes and sizes are wonderful. Maybe one day you will sign a brick and put it deep in the wall to be found in the future. 🙂

Ant, the wreath looks absolutely marvelous! We've recently moved to a country property bordering on some woods. Perhaps I need to go out foraging for greenery to try my hand at a natural wreath. Thank you for showing how!🤗

Your wreath is absolutely beautiful. What a clever idea to use the moss as the base which keeps the greenery moist and last a lot longer. That's a job well done Ant.

That is amazing! You hammer all those stones/rocks in? No concrete in between? And BRRR! Sounds very cold!!!
@Santee29182 күн бұрын
I wondered the same thing about the lack of concrete. I know the stones must be heavy but seems like the movement of the ground freezing then thawing would make just enough shift to dislodge them. Like, had there been concrete, wouldn’t the wall have held up better even with the slow growth of the tree? -5 C is 23° F! Burrrrr!
