This brings back fond memories. When I was young I had built many aviaries. It was my favorite hobby. You inspired me to keep some birds again.

The local nursery has one with finches. When my daughter was young, I would leave her sitting in front of it and go shopping in peace for the plants I wanted to put in my flower beds.

Ant so enjoyed the project and video. Brought back memories of my granddad who raised beautiful small birds. It was the first thing he would show us grandchildren, was his new little one. I had zebra finches for several years. I found they didn't lay eggs until they were moved out of the family space and into a more isolated space. 💕🌞🌵😷

I haven’t seen a clothes drying rack for ages. Here in the us you hardly see any laundry drying outside. In many places it’s not allowed. Visual clutter and all that.

I would love to have a clothesline again !!!! We have Amish in Iowa who hang clothes outside all year long. Some have clotheslines that go from the house all the way up a huge light pole. They use a pulley system. 😊

Hi Ant . The aviary looks great and the birds are happy. I have many finches come to my garden here in Aus, and they love to eat oranges. I cut the oranges in 1/4 pieces so everyone gets a bit. It's lovely to just sit and watch the birds isn't it. Thanks Ant 👍👍😊

Great build nicely put together When I was building some outdoor flights a few years back when it came to creating access to the outdoor flights I used some cat flaps mounted upside down so that when the flap falls flat it creates a landing platform, being made of plastic they are very easy to clean also the cat flaps have a built in lock

Wow! This is crazy! What a chatter going on. I think I love it. Have you thought about putting in some small plants or vines to make it more natural, similar to an aquarium? You could even paint some plants on the back walls if you're an artist.

@@ants_countrylife - Thanks, Ant! I suspected that you would eventually be selling some of the birds… and wow! 50 birds! That’s quite a lot! Bet they make quite a lot of noise when you’re at full capacity. How long do they live on average? I had parakeets when I was a kid, but they never seemed to live very long. I don’t know if I just had bad luck with them, or if they just have short life spans. Anyway, keep up the great work! Love your videos!

So the lesson here is... If you want the neighbors to see everything you do, paint your fence black ... If all you want them to see is your fence, paint it white. 💕🌞🌵😷
