muy buen video! Excellent, you comment on one of the biggest issues we have when being photographers , my hubby is not even intersted in my birding photography, so I have to agree to making shorter birding sessions and not so static (in one single place) but as long as we enjoy what we do, I guess that's what makes one life contentment! It’s just cuz it’s running non stop over and over, I checked this today actually with the same monitor at about 2500 hours on but the employee said they never ever change it and also pixel shifting and pixel cleaning were just disabled on it, also set it the brightness mode, basically it was just terrible settings for the panel and wasn’t taken care of, but with everyday normal use u probably won’t get burn in, and I think the warranty covers this for 2 years from purchase date

What would be a good inexpensive video camera to use in the out doors like for hunting and fishing?
@RVTA
@RVTA 25 күн бұрын
Typically, for action and adventure video you need a rugged camera. A camera that can be dropped and get dirty. A DJI Action or GoPro "action camera" fits that genre. If you want to capture wildlife from a distance you'll need a mirrorless camera with a telephoto lens (300-500mm). For capturing landscapes a wide angle (20-35mm). There are plenty of mirrorless cameras that can capture 4k 10-bit (high quality) video. It's all about your budget!!! Also most mirrorless cameras and their lenses weigh a lot. Do you want to lug around several pounds? Action cameras weigh very little, but only offer a wide angle lens. You have options.

Jesus, you could really bring these points home by shooting a portrait pic, a landscape, a wildlife shot, etc. with your DJI pocket and then with a real camera/lens combo. Shoot both pics under the same lighting conditions. In the summer, I shoot mostly on my sailboat. A big problem there is keeping the horizon level. When I shoot with my Nikon and appropriate lenses I always have to rotate the picture to level the horizon. That is a royal pain to do with video where you need to adjust almost every frame. My GoPro has automatic horizon levelling, which 99% removes that issue. I agree 100% about what you can see in a action cam super wide angle image compared to the same image shot with a real camera or even what I can see with my mark II eyeballs. I say Mark II because even with my eyes I use appropriate lenses for the "shot". The "kit" lesses my eyeballs came with have deteriorated over the years and now give very fuzzy shots, particularly for distance work. That generally requires the use of suitable lenses by Steiner or Fujinon in addition to the custom base lenses I use. So you think some rich guy would think poorly of you if he came into your studio and saw your DJI pocket mounted on a tripod for the shots. After all, you are going to process the hell out of any shot you take and make the guy look however he wants to look after the fact no matter which camera you use.

@@todddunn945 Todd, Decades ago, I was the owner of a Silicon Valley photo studio. I became quickly aware in San José, of the pretentious and superficial nature of portraiture. As a retired photographer I don't plan on producing overtly detailed KZbin videos. That would require work! If I was given a product that was valued over $500. Maybe then I would take the time and energy to produce a detailed review. In the case of this video, I reflect on my experience and share it with my audience. I expect this video to get maybe 200 views in the next 6 months. I will make 50¢. If I spent an extra 30 hours in the project, I would maybe make $1. I understand that I am not an influencer, and have no desire to morph into one. That would require energy, desire and avarace.

One question. Why do you need to do 4K videos for KZbin. I am guessing that the bulk of people won't be watching 4K KZbin videos for a few reasons. First they won't have the hardware to display videos at 4K. From my looking around, the bulk of reasonably priced laptops and even desk top monitors are 1080P max resolution. Sure some people will stream videos to their giant TV screen, but I suspect that will mostly be people that live alone. Second, BANDWIDTH. It takes lots of internet bandwidth to stream 4K videos. If people don't have fast internet they won't be watching many 4K videos, particularly if their internet is capped on a monthly basis. Third, I don't see the point unless you are using a very high quality camera that has both the resolution and lenses to shoot decent 4K video. I can shoot 4K on my GoPro, but given the crappy lens, why waste the time. Fourth, subject matter. Frankly watching a talking head video in 4K seems kind of pointless to me unless particularly if the talking head is an old guy like us. In my case I process my talking head videos at 720P and only go up to 1080P for scenery videos. I think that is about the limit for the image quality my GoPro Hero 12 is capable of. I have shot some 4K video with the GoPro, but since my best monitor is only 1080P, I can't look at the 4K video. Also the bulk of the people who commented on those videos said that they couldn't watch at above 1080P. I don't have a gimbal for my Nikon DSLR, so although it can shoot 4K videos and has the sensor and glass to make it worth while, I don't use it because I don't feel like lugging a tripod around for every shot. even if I could hold it steady enough to shoot hand held stuff, it is a royal pain to process the video to keep the horizon level, etc.

If you want to look at replacing your M1, my advise is to look at the "Apple Certified" refurbished models. I picked up what is truly a brand new laptop (7 power cycles) for £600 off the Apple Brand New price. The laptop came without a blemish of any kind. I hope you check it out and put the $1000 towards a new MacBook Pro. Get your rendering down to 5 minutes. Thanks for the content Brother.

I would disagree, there is virtually no reason in 2024 to still be using Apple devices. If Snapdragon beats the M3 then Apple is dead in the laptop market
@gaiustacitus4242

@@martinspedding4210 Benchmarks are already out that show the best Snapdragon CPUs are only faster than the low end configuration of Apple's M3 CPUs. The M3 MAX is still in first place, and the M4 lineup is due to ship over the next several months (starting with the iPad, which is already shipping). While CPU performance is a factor in choosing a computer, application software availability and a user's comfort level with Windows or MacOS are far more important when deciding which computer to purchase. Also, if you care about security of personally identifiable information, then Apple's products have a definite advantage. It is also possible to run Windows on an M-series Apple computer by using Parallels to setup a virtual machine. I've been running Windows in a VM on MacBook Pro laptops since 2012 (after switching over from Fusion) and have found Windows to operate with fewer issues than when running in native mode on PC hardware. This is because Apple controls all of the hardware and it is easier to produce stable drivers for a smaller range of devices.

I ordered the new Surface Pro tablet with the stupidly expensive keyboard. I really needed a laptop that I could draw on. And I was really tired of having TWO devices to do it from Apple, the Macbook and an iPad. I really just want one device. Makes life a lot easier. Here's to hoping the new system works out better. I'm also happy to go back to windows (for my laptop), because my main PC is Windows. The MacBook never wanted to play well with my office rig. I don't think I would ever render video on my laptop though unless I had no choice. I got a 4090 for my office PC, and I think that'll keep things pretty quick. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions about Microsoft's ARM chip, but with all the other companies on board, hopefully it's not as big of a gamble. Time will tell. --- I've never done an extended warranty on any of my purchases, and I've never had issues. The one time I had hardware die was a EVGA graphics card, and they replaced it free of charge.
