Sadly the school burned down and its remains were cleaned from the area.. Nothing is left.. Not a single brick.. But I was fortunately able to have someone grab a brick for me just in time and mail it to me, so I have a piece of my childhood school..

I was at the height of my working career when I worked for a fortune 100 company. It was a great job at a great company and I loved working there. When I got laid off and cleared out my cube it was a crushing blow to me. I kid you not when I say that I dreamt about my job there almost every night for a year. I worked there almost 10 years.

It’s now 2024 and I really enjoyed that video. Seeing a lot of old equipment I know of. But what worried me was the tower. Okay, you can leave a once valuable optimod to rot and die, and that’s a shame, but you can’t leave a tower without maintenance, or eventually, it will fall over. It’s also looked like it might be 200foot or more tall, in which case it needs to have working aircraft warning lights.

I heard this place is being torn down. But what will be built in its place. 🤔

It was on 17 mile between Van Dyke and the railroad the other side would be Mound. This place was jumping in the late 70’s thru all of the 80’s. Sunnybrook hosted the PBA Championships and Pro Am. The Hotel made a great place for the Pro bowlers to relax in their rooms or go to the parking lot where they had their RV’s. The Golf course was a mile long and had some nice holes, but very pan and dry.
