It's soo sad to see Beard Elementary that way.. I went there from 1990-96.. When it was still in its full glory.. It's just heartbreaking to see it the way it is now.. But, thank you for showing it.. I truly had no idea of what it looked like on the inside.. You'd think the city would shut off the water to it..

Sadly the school burned down and its remains were cleaned from the area.. Nothing is left.. Not a single brick.. But I was fortunately able to have someone grab a brick for me just in time and mail it to me, so I have a piece of my childhood school..

My Elementary School is over 200 Years Old it was two playgrounds,yes I said two playgrounds,it went through at least a couple renovations,i went there K -6th Grades,as of 2024 it was rumored that the School was going to be Closed permanently and turned into a Office Complex, I think that's bullshit.

The excuse of closed because of declining enrollment is better than saying closed because it cost too much to repair such as no heat because the boilers are condemned for example
