The paddle placement feels horrible you can never grip the controller properly. Taking it back for a scuf or asus rog rikari

ive had the elite 2 for 3 years and its decent nothing more. the bumpers stopped working just after my warranty expired luckily with the game I play at a high level I can map it to paddles. the paddles become sticky if you hold them down for example when crouching in game if set to hold. worth the money-yes but the durability could definitely be better

Elite is crap bumper broke and crazy stick drift

Elite 2 user here. After 1 year of very mild usage bumper buttons started to fail to register presses (because I don't press it very hard). It gets especially ridiculous, that the standard xbox controller I that use HEAVILY all the time is still absolutely fine

Personally I prefer scuff controllers for their durability. Before I bought my scuff controller I went through two elite 2 controllers in two years. I’ve had my scuff for a little over two years now and Im just starting to have stick drift. No other issues with it.

Warranty being a big factor in controller reviews is a concern. At these price points you shouldn't have to worry about quality issues and problems should be rectified with the best customer service. Also, if the controller is replaced under warranty then you should really be getting a new warranty. Great review though, very detailed. Thank you.

I had the elite series 1 and i tjought the paddles were way too easy to remove. A too stern of a movement in game and they would fly off

The elite controller is light years better 😆 They gave a controller a little battery indicator for 20 more bucks n bearly anything

I have a elite series 1 and the left bumper button broke, it bad ass that i could map that button to one of the rear paddles so thats a plus with controler software. With that said. I was just going to buy a new replacement left bumper button but i wanted to check out if the series 2 was worth upgrading to. Do you reccomend the series 2 from the series 1? Any mayor dofferences between the two?

The elite 3 needs mouse clicky buttons and Hall effect sticks.

I just got an envision pro and it’s hot garbage replacing it with the instinct pro. My elite 2 has stick drift so it’s a no go for fps games.

I’ve been through about 6 elites in the last 3 years, A B X Y buttons end up sticking after a year or so bumpers barely make it to that. Paddles will start to stick really bad at about a year. If you’re a avg gamer then yea i’d going with the elite but if you are any sort of a competitive gamer i’d steer clear of the elite just my opinion l.

Good review, though I'll stick to the Eltie 2. Got a used one, bad LB, so I'm desoldering the switches atm the putting in some good ones. Got a new faceplate and front facing buttons, since I absolutely dislike the damn Grey on Black. I miss the old days where shit had color ffs.

Elite 2 bumpers tend to get janky, I’ve had Bluetooth connectivity issues. Yes the value and parts it comes with is nice but if the scuff eliminates these issues with the extra price I think it’s well worth it

The Elite II controllers are GARBAGE!. I had 2 fail on me!, and I baby my gear!. They are a waste of money!!. Microsoft has had soo many failures that they have stopped honoring warranty on them!. DO NOT BUY MICROSOFT!... I have 2 elite boat anchors now, and hardly even used them much!.

Elite series controller best controller you'll ever own... For about 4 months until it starts failing mechanically

Something that's driven me mad especially when it came to the Dualshock 3 was how sticks would wear and loosen. It feels HORRIBLE, like when someone has a really weak noodley handshake. The Elite's option to customise stick tension was an instant sale for me.

You completely missed one terrible feature on the elite. Every right thumbstick has a small threshold that doesn’t register at all. I’ve had 4 elite series controllers they are not built well at all. But the lack of response on the right thumbstick is the worst….

I bought my 3rd elite controller and after using in new for 40 minutes I realized im done with these controllers. The bumpers suck the triggers Arnt clicks but a weird smush click type of feeling, and the bottom paddle doesn’t feel responsive it doesn’t feel like a 1ms response even though I have the controller overclocked, and it sometimes doesn’t respond on the first click. I’m taking the controller back to best buy and getting the scuff instinct even though it’s $100 more I think u get what u pay for here.

If they could make an elite controller that lasts longer than 6 months to a year it might be worth the money. I have 60 dollar controllers that lasted 3 times longer than either of the elites I bought.

One Question, if I have a warranty and need to use it. Does the new controller come with a renewed warranty? Or does the previous warranty remain? Or does the warranty get void after one use? Thanks

If you live in the UK, buy the controller you like from Curry’s and take the ‘hassle free repair or replacement warranty’ and they will swap it for a brand new one any time your controller breaks again. I bought the series 2 controller over 2 years ago and have had 8 replaced in that time! That’s 1 every 3 months on average. Same problems every time. Bumper double clicks when I press once and/or stick drift. Usually the bumber goes first. It drives me crazy and really, it’s not worth the price without that kind of warranty added (it’s £23 for 5 years free replacements btw!)
