If you are not up there yet, you still have time to change your route up to go via Namche - Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche instead of the bog standard Tengboche trail 98% trekkers use, ignorant of the more amazing high scenic trail opposite side of the valley. Only come down via Tengboche, idiotic to hike the same trail twice when there is an impressive high trail available. No time penalty on the way up, just replace the normal Tengboche/Deboche night with night at Phortse. Lunch at Mong La, the best viewpoint in Khumbu! Too bad I can not add pictures to these comments. Get paper maps from Kathmandu bookshops and study them a bit.

These are generally good places, especially compared to most tourist videos. Unfortunately, Felice a Testaccio isn’t as good as it used to be before it got very touristy.

The host are absolutely amazing. He will be your driver around Nusa Penida and also his wifes warung is the best indonesian food we had while in Bali Warung Inda. SOOOOOOO Amazing especially if you like your food a little spicy!!

It was a food market called Time Out market. Very Touristy but had some Michelin Portuguese chefs there. We enjoyed the environment. Plus one of our favorite US shows "Somebody Feed Phil" he went there so we had to check it out for ourselves. We enjoyed it!!

Surprised to see you eating pizza with your hands (like Americans). They do not cut pizza an give you a knife and fork so that you cut bite size pizza and eat with a fork. Watch other Italians.

Just left Rome all was great but pizza disappointing! Crust is nice and light and what little meat(all uncooked) is on the pizza is just sprinkled on top! First thing back in the USA was a big meat lovers pizza! All gelatos were awesome!

Pizza is definitely a personal preference food. There are so many ways that if one thing is off some people don't prefer it vs that one thing that is off is how people like it. I think that is why we like pizza so much because people are very clear on how they like their pizza and its so different and unique!! Gelatos were absolutely amazing!! Good question and Thanks!! Honestly we start with a base of 20% of the cost no matter how the trip goes. As the perceived value to us increases based off personality and our overall feeling of the experience we increase it by $5, $10, or even $20. But that is personal preference and what you feel comfortable spending. If people go above and beyond and I leave feeling like I had an experience that was unique and I consider my guide a friend then that is a priceless experience and I want them to feel that I received value from them.

All the restaurants look wonderful, but you really should indicate you’re mostly reviewing restaurants in Trastevere.
