The new set up worked a treat Mark , do you have a link to the new gear as I watched the video of you buying it in Terrys shop .The new set up looks quite specialised as opposed to the traditional lure rods and boat rods , it looks an amazing light action , especially dealing with those serious Pollock with no issues !

Thanks mate. The sound was shocking I made a massive schoolboy error in the editing. Every day is a school day with KZbin.😳 should have a good video out after the weekend. I’m fishing for pike perch and Xander with a very special friend of mine.🎣🎣

I was unfortunate to be on a boat that broke down off Eastbourne. The same young lady on the side towed us from the lock to the berth. She was so professional and very calm. Apparently this was her first day after completing her examin sea craft. I was very impressed and very grateful.

Mark glad its an fairly easy fix , Its a different beast of a boat you have now and it certain will give you sleepless nights . I can't tell how many times i had those over the years but i am in the view of doing preventative maintenance these days , its costly mind you but as you know there is no worse feeling of helplessness when you brake down at sea. Good luck with the boat and may see you down the solent this year and plenty of nice marina's to stay.

Hi Mark, happy new year. I’m just watching your video where you’re swapping the transducer ? To the active imaging one. Have you seen the Airmar transducers s ?? They are amazing the only true chirp transducer I’m running a TM 150 and the active imaging the other side. I only use one at once but prefer the Airmar, good luck getting the boat back in the water asap. Just thought I would mention it

I have a m260 airmar on this boat already, but that is the transducer for the new pro units. I like to get some images for Lowrance.

CopperCoat (the company) told me not to scour the coating each year., doesnt need it, if its been properly applied. This is thier instructions. "Maintenance: When correctly applied, this long-life epoxy anti-fouling treatment should continue to deter marine fouling for many years so that the annual chore of repainting, as associated with conventional anti-fouling, is no longer necessary. Damaged areas can be touched-up as required. If, over the months, a slight accumulation of slime does appear, this can be removed by pressure washing or brushing. An annual wash or brush is recommended. Eventually, after many years, the surface may need to be lightly abraded with a fine grade of “wet and dry” paper or a sanding pad to expose fresh copper".

Another good video mark there is always work to be done on boat's i have done work on boat's all ways make sure the spacers are on first before the propellers goes back on because they just get stuck on tight to the propellers and when you put a new propeller on you forget to put the spacers back on and the propellers will not run write and you can damage all the dirve shafts mark A easy mistake to make this happened to us on a 60 HP yamaha we just launched the boat and drove it up the front of the key and heard the propellers grinding we knew straight away something was badly wrong a very easy mistake to make check everything luckily my father is a engineer and questioned the person about what he had done so he fixed it but he nearly damaged all the gear box then the engine would of been scrap that is why i am watching you repairs you are making on your boat mark.

What a valuable video to share Mark, thank you. Boating is one of life’s greatest joys when everything goes well but when things go wrong it can be a very scary experience, your video highlights the importance of having everything in place for the day you need to depend on it, I’m so glad you got back safely… I love watching your videos too much!!! 😅 Seriously though you obviously have enough experience and knowledge of radio protocols to have got your message and location across, the VHF course is invaluable and a must do in my opinion, it’s difficult to remember everything though isn’t it!? I have an audio book version of the RYA VHF course that I listen to in the car , you’d be surprised how much can sink in to your memory bank … anyway I hope the repair isn’t too much mate .. great content as always.

A great video to post Mark. I will be going over my radio crib sheet to make sure it is correct and complete before I go again in the New Year. The RNLI are bloody marvellous. I became a member and support them with a small monthly payment. Even people that don't have boats support them. Every boat owner should as well. Most importantly, you are safe. Hopefully the repairs won't be too traumatic.

Thank you for putting this up Mark. Probably one of the most valuable videos to all us boat anglers. A live example showing how to handle a tricky situation.
