How do you keep the black glaze from mixing with the white glaze on your black and white vases?
@ericamoorepottery2 күн бұрын
Hi! So actually I don’t use black clay- that’s just the color of the clay! That’s what allows the cool matte texture in the final product. I paint the white glaze on with a small paintbrush and just try to be careful that it doesn’t get on the black clay.

This is the first time YT has shown me your channel. Love it! Way to go! Bold move in 2024, which allowed you to test the full-time pottery waters even more and... and... and... Europe THREE times?! Who can say that?!!! 🎉And having a new job this year, that's exciting as well! I love that you're not doing anything in a cookie-cutter way. And how nice to have the wise advice and guidance from your dad. ❤ I just quickly perused the comments. Why did no one ask what the new thing is that you tried in January?! Do tell!! 🥰

The title is kind of misleading. You still have a job..
@ericamoorepottery4 күн бұрын
Hi! Actually, the title is 100% accurate. I quit my corporate job in January 2024 to pursue pottery full-time. I worked for myself all year until December 2024 when I took a contract position in marketing. This video was made to share my experience working for myself as an artist full-time. Hope that helps ☺️

Also need to factor in the flux in election years always seem to dip down for artist sales.
@ericamoorepottery5 күн бұрын
no that’s definitely a really good point! someone messaged me and told me that 2023 was a really good year for artist sales in general as well, so having a high sale year in 2023 and a lower one in 2024 seems to be a common theme. However, I’m always looking for ways to improve and will continue to evaluate myself as I move forward!! :) thanks for watching 🩷🩷🩷
