So what I found was that there was this old rich guy who owned the mansion and the facility that's underneath and the research facility and he had contracts with the UC Navy to conduct experiments underneath the Waters of hila 2 where they found that the mantle is one gigantic plate and underneath is a hollow core filled with water the icean extends to the unshielded core actually and at the center is something that seems like a gravity well and there's the Sonic booms that emit every now and then and some weird dark substance seeps out and they try to refine it to use as some sort of new ship fuel or stabilizer or booster of some sort because the rate at which it releases energy is amazing and mind-blowing but it evaporates away kind of like dark matter or something also they're doing research into trying to unlock the secrets behind the incredibly dense bone of the fish that are native to the depths of Hyla 2s oceans with its highly microbial Waters and immense pressures as well as that strange substance that seeps out from the core and to find out how the large armored fish live indefinitely and are nearly indestructible so that it could be used to aid in the war against the freestar basically it was a very old facilitythere was a very high ranked old school Navy admiral from the UC who is stationed there to oversee the facility who didn't like it very much the old man who lived in the Mansion who was responsible for this whole entire operation eventually passed away because he was very sick and prior to passing away he had the underwater Mansion clear it out so his grandson can move in when he passed away upon passing away the program was shut down everyone was sent away and then the grandson was notified that he had inherited this mansion the old man had intended for his grandson and his grandson's wife to move in to the mansion and live comfortably however it seems as if something happens there's bits and pieces that tell of the man and he's in neon City pretty sure something with Aurora is going on and something in the astral lounge or something about neon City and people following him and watching him and that he seen something he shouldn't have and then there's also something about people chasing him then there's this whole entire weird thing about starborn and then besides the starboard thing in the little vault room where you find the guy's body once you complete the beacon thing and turn that off you'll notice on the wall by the bed there's two pieces of paper and one of them on the wall is an artifact piece so it's just weird also how you find starborn uniforms or suits inside that that strange glyph it seems as if there's another little underlying story that involves either starborn or something else that we just haven't been made aware of yet but this mod I mean I downloaded this one and the andromeda's palace I think that's what it's called and I was looking forward to the Palace one with that big lava crystal in the middle and I loved it I thought this one was going to be like okay whatever sure as I went and started exploring underground I'm like wow a lot of care and effort and attention to detail when it's making this tank girl needs a Grammy and Emmy and Oscar and a Golden globe🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

It's worth noting that both MillsBuilds (who did the Gagarin Abandoned Cave) and Miss O Plays are experienced outpost builders with their own KZbin channels, where they showcase many of their Starfield builds -- that's probably why their first mods were so good right out of the gate!

Worth noting this interior is just a ship from the Rangers quest line, but decorated more/differently and with storages added and a few cheats. No less an impressive effort, though it seems like a weird thing to find under the New Atlantis landing pads. Still, the ship layout does work as a ground structure - as someone else said, like a Fallout vault. Also, good video!

This is one of the coolest mods in the game! But I keep wondering if Captain Russell can be a companion? Or if he just hangs out in the secret room?

I REALLY did wish we could tour our ship from within 'ship builder' to see what they're like from the interior. Loading in and out of ship builder each time to change small tings is SUCH a pain!! Loved the vid, liked and subbed👍

I love his mods but the two issues I have encountered with using them on PC - especially the BIG 2 level bridge is the game lag and performance issues. Have not encountered lag with the starborn cockpit though. The second issue is that if you add decorations to cockpit, habs or bridge - they disappear after leaving the ship in some cases and in other cases they disappear if you make any ship modifications in the ship builder ; even if it is just to the structure like changing paint or adding cargo . I have talked to some other folks that have used the V3 brdige and habs and have had the same thing occur. The modder is aware and states he wild look into it . Really hope he can find a fix as I want to use this mod . I created an amazing bar in the observation deck and it is just over the top fantastic. Thanks for highlighting this cheers

I've been looking at these pieces in the 30 mins I have free each evening after work. Hadn't had a chance to see the bridge modules yet, they look amazing & I will definitely have to plan a ship around one when I next have the time. Thank you for this showcase

Such a great ship mod!

There are two more really cool parts of this mod. You have the battle stations with the retractable cannons, and the cargo lifts. The battle stations are similar to the shield room and reactor room where your weapons retract when not in use. The cargo lifts are good cargo holds, but they have a cool lift that deploys when you are landed as if you have cargo being loaded. It's mostly a role play thing, but they look great. Both are pretty awesome visually. This is one of my favorite hab mods though. There are some great interior spaces in this one.

That locked door is really strange. It obviously isn't just a copy/paste job, because they definitely changed some things, but ... why make you pick the lock to your own bedroom on a hab you bought for yourself? Odd.

If you wanted to showcase the home without spoiling the quest, you could have done a tour AFTER completing the quest bits, instead of talking about the quest for so much of the video. I'm only 8 minutes in and I've already learned more about the quest steps than I wanted to. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to stop watching there.
